Leopard and Denim

I was placing an order on Simply Be a few weeks ago and had a 15% off voucher so decided to add a few things to my basket that i had been looking at and wanting to order for a while. The first is a pair of flip flops, i have been wanting a cute pair that i can wear at work but i didn't want to place an order and pay delivery just for those so i was waiting to add them onto another order.
I pretty much decided these were the flip flops for me the first time i saw them, they looked comfy and they were leopard print so do i really need to say any more!

sorry for the slight blur on the picture I'm not sure why the camera did that
These flip flops are £14 full price and available in E and EEE, i went for a size 5 in the E width and they fit well, they haven't had a proper road test yet but I'm hoping they stay comfy.
The other item i added to my order is this super cute Alice and You acid wash dress i must have looked at it everyday since it first went onto the site and i finally caved and ordered it.

I wasn't sure on the fit so i stuck with my usual size 22 which is a great fit for me, but if you are between sizes you might want to size up as there is no stretch to the material itself. The dress is quite thin so i think it will be great for summer and i can imagine me wearing it with wellies at the festivals.

This dress is quite short but still covers my bum and i don't feel like its going to ride up any minute and flash it either. There is a stretch panel around the middle to give the dress some shape and some cute little cut outs and the sides to make it a little more interesting.

I had been after a cute denim dress for some time and this one ticks all the boxes. I can see this becoming a staple of my summer wardrobe as its really easy to wear and doesn't need anything to add to it. All i need now is my sunnies and I'm ready to go!
Have you added to your wardrobe recently?

Bargain Biker

A few weeks ago i popped into the Simply Be store in the White rose to have a browse and to try on a few pieces I'd seen online which i posted about here. This leopard biker jacket had been on my radar for a while but i wasn't sure on the fit so i wanted to try it on first and luckily they had it in store. I fell in love with the jacket and was going to buy it but remembered i had a 10% off code at home so decided to wait and buy online, I'm really pleased i did as it was down to £25 instead of £50 online.

I sized down and went for a size 20 as i waned a fitted jacket when it was open but i can still fasten it all they way up as there is some stretch to the material. However if you want to be able to layer up under it then i would advise to get your normal size.

I wore this with my Claire Richards jeans, which i know you have seen many times before but i honestly love them so much! The polkadot peplum is from last years sale at New Look. I really like this jacket it's very easy to wear and looks super cute with dresses too. Because of the stretch in the material it isn't restrictive to wear either.

The sleeves on the jacket are 3/4 length and flare out a little towards the bottom which i think adds a little extra touch to an already fabulous jacket. The animal print is a soft velvet like flocked print i did try to get a picture although it doesn't really show it in full.

I'd recommend this jacket to anyone who like me loves a bit of animal print and is after something a little different. I don't usually buy much white clothing as i tend to spill food, more so when I'm wearing something that will stain easily but I'm crossing my fingers i can manage to keep this stain free. So if you see me wearing this jacket and a bib then you know why!
I hope your all having a great weekend and if your off this bank holiday have a great one :)

My Curves and Me

I was contacted recently by My Curves and Me who asked if i would like to review a set from the site i said yes and was sent this bra and matching shorts. My curves and me is a bra and swimwear site specialising in sizes D+.
I was sent the bra in a 40G and the knickers in a 20 as that was the biggest size they had, although the knickers are a little small they are still comfy and the bra does amazing things for your boobs!

This bra is in the sale at £12.50 which is a great price for such an amazing bra. It feels really comfy and the shoulder straps are a nice size, I'm so sick of getting a cute bra only for it to be ruined by extra wide straps. It might look like a plain black bra but it has some lovely details like the sequins at the top and a subtle pattern on the shoulder straps too.

The knickers also have some great detail on them and are available in a thong too for those of you who don't like the shorts style. My curves and me also let me know about the #bodybeautiful campaign, which is great and promotes any body any size is beautiful. This is refreshing to hear as most of the time you see posts about real women having curves or articles on how to get a beach body. This is all about embracing yourself and the body that you have, everyone is different and that's the best thing about your body no one else has it!

I'm really impressed by My Curves and Me and i will definitely be heading back when i need some new underwear or for some swimwear when i finally go on holiday.

Go and check out My Curves and Me and get involved in the #bodybeautiful campaign because no matter what size or shape you are your body is beautiful.

From The Changing Room

I was at the White Rose shopping centre recently and i decided to pop into Simply Be for a bit of a try on, there were quite a few pieces that I'd seen online and wanted to try on in person.
So today is just a quick post on what i tried on, the pictures are from my phone so not amazing. Please excuse the angry looking face in some of the pictures, i still haven't mastered mirror pictures yet!
First up the Animal Print Biker Jacket. I had spotted this online and was always tempted but i was unsure of the fit so i was happy to see it in store. Safe to say i fell in love and ordered it when i got home. This is a size 20, for a fitted look i would advise to size down.

Next up is the Snake print dropped waist dress. I wanted to see how this looked on me i tired a 22 but i could have sized down i think. I can imagine lots of you rocking this but it just wasn't for me.

I fell in love with this Denim dress after seeing it on Lisa. I tried on a size 22 which was a good fit however i don't think the dress is very me so I'll leave it up to Lisa to rock this one.

These Spot print shorts have been on my radar for a while but i thought they might be too long for me  so when i saw them in store i scooped them up for a try on. The size 22 were a good fit with a little room and the denim has stretch too.

The top reminded me of the kind i wore as a kid, this one is a size 20 and a nice fit but i would have preferred a thinner material as i tend to get a little over warm.
I also tried on the stud shorts in a 20 and 22, they are really nice and pretty short too which i love. Unfortunately the 20 was a tiny bit tight and the 22 way too big so these didn't come home with me. The shorts in the picture are the 20's.

Last up is my favourite outfit i just love it! The tops colour wasn't right with my current hair colour but i loved it with the skirt. The midi tube skirt is a size 18 if you want a nice tight fit then size down at least 1 if not 2 sizes as its super stretchy. The cami top is a 22 true to size but with no stretch.

I have the jacket on its way to me so hopefully i will get a post up with proper pictures soon so you can see all the beautiful details.
Have you been buying anything recently?

Cats Eyes

I was contacted recently by Firmoo the online glasses company who asked if i would like to review a pair of glasses. I'm always on the look out for new glasses and having worked with Firmoo before i said yes and picked out a beautiful pair of glasses to try.

I decided to go for these beauties as i was instantly drawn to them while browsing the site. I love the shape on the glasses and the frames are almost wooden in effect which looks even better in real life.
I have been sent a pair of glasses by Firmoo before but i have also bought some myself as i find them really great value and although they are shipped from abroad they arrive in no time!

These glasses also came in the cutest glasses case, i love how it looks like an old map. I think it might become my go to case.

I wore these glasses to work and they were really comfy over my ears but i hadn't checked the bridge distance so these did rub on my nose over the day. That isn't the fault of the glasses it was me not checking the measurements. But i really love how these glasses look so i will be wearing them again just over a shorter period.

I can't recommend Firmoo enough the glasses are really good quality and they have a great price range too. They do put measurements on all the frames so you can check they will fit you and you can even upload your own picture so you can see how the frames will look on you which is great to help you decide.

If you are on the look out for some new specs then head over to Firmoo and find your perfect pair.

Blazer Love

I have recently rekindled my love of blazers, when i was younger i wore a blazer with jeans every chance i got although if you asked me to wear my school one that was a big no no! So when Yours Clothing asked me to pick a few items and i spotted this blazer i fell in love.

This blazer is a lovely soft jersey material, which is my preferred material as it moves with you and doesn't feel as restrictive as others made from a more structured material. I was sent this in a size 22 and this fit is great.

The sleeves are 3/4 ones which i really like, as i do have a massive love for my forearms. And i love the polkadot cuff at the end of the sleeves, i think it makes a plain black blazer stand out. You can also get this blazer with an animal print cuff which i love too. At £35 it's around the price you would pay for a blazer from most shops but its worth the money as i think they go with everything especially shorts!

I wore this with my jeans and leopard print tee and i felt fabulous. Blazers always make me feel smartly dressed and this outfit was definitely a winner for me ! If you want to get your hands on this beauty then its available online here

Date Night

Last week me and the Mr went out for some dinner as i had been craving Jack Daniels shrimp like you wouldn't believe! Here is what i wore on the night, the Mr took some pictures just before we left but because the sun was so low you can only make out my face in them so i recreated my outfit for you.

This top is amazing i love it so much! Its from New Look Inspire and doesn't seem to be online anymore but you could always try in store if you have an inspire section. I added my new Primark skirt which was a total bargain at £5!

I was after a body con style midi skirt for a while but i couldn't seem to find the right one at the right price so when i spotted this in a size 20 in Primark i was very happy. As you can see the skirt is tight and the top is a short crop top style so my VBO is out on show, but that doesn't bother me at all i look super cute.

I finished off my outfit with my bone in my top knot and off we went for food. I had a lovely evening and even had my first ever long island iced tea, which was strong but very nice. And here is the Mr sticking his tongue out at me when i tried to take his picture, isn't he the cutest?!

I totally adore this outfit, i felt really comfy and cute in it and already can't war to wear it again!

Summery Casual

Toda's post is the next piece i got from the lovely guys over at Yours Clothing as you all know by now i love shorts! So the obvious choice or me was to try a pair of shorts from Yours. I decided to go with these denim shorts.

I got these in a 22 and i would say they are a generous 22 not enough to go down a full size but enough that you can eat a big dinner in them. They are really light so will be perfect for the summer and festival wear.

These shorts are longer than lots of the other pairs i have but its nice to have a casual pair. I wore these with my strawberry print vest and purple lipstick, i really loved the outfit its different to what i would usually wear but i felt super relaxed and comfy.

These shorts will be perfect for me to wear for a day in the park and I'm sure they will end up in my festival bag too as they really are very comfy. The are nice a lightweight so you won't overheat in them in the summer either. If you fancy a pair they are available online here for £25.
