Leeds Pride

Its been a few weeks since Leeds Pride but i wanted to share my outfit with you from the day. This whole outfit has come from New Look inspire. It was nice weather for Leeds Pride but as i had to set off at 8am that morning i took a jacket as i wasn't sure what it would be like later in the day.

This jacket is a size 18 i had to size down by two sizes to get the fit that i wanted. If you want this to be a more oversized jacket then you could always go for your usual size. They had loads in store so if they don't have your size online you could always try your local New Look.

The jacket is really thin so you won't overheat in it and it you are going away and want to take a jacket this would be perfect. The jacket doesn't have any pockets which is a little disappointing but the cut and bright floral design more that make up for that.

I wore my acid wash shorts which are no longer online and this cute leopard print vest i got last year. The short are a size 20, i had to size down to get them to be fitted due to the stretch material. These are really comfy they are made from the softest material ever!

The vest is a size 24 and is a good fit for me. It has a nice gold detail around the neckline which is what made me want it last year. I think the leopard and the floral from the blazer went really well together. I also wore a pair of bright pink pumps which i ended up having to throw away, i think i danced the soles right off!
I took lots of pictures on the day which you may have seen if you follow me on instagram if not and you want to follow me you can find me here.

You Beauty

Its that time again when i get my beauty box so i thought i would share what i got with you.

The two options that i chose this month were Rose & Co cherry kiss lip balm and Peggy Sage summer collection nail polish. So I'll start with the negative, i didn't know what colour of polish i would be getting as shades did vary from each box. I was sent tropical rose which in my opinion is a pretty awful colour. It looks like a child polish its very watery and has a sparkly finish which i think look quite cheap. This isn't something i would buy again but the point of the box is to try new things so I'm still glad i tried it.

My second choice was the lip balm. Now this is really nice is smells lightly of cherry and it really does leave you lips silky smooth. Although the balm is red this doesn't transfer onto your lips or leave your finger stained red. I would recommend this and i would buy it again.

These are my added extras that i got in the box. I got a 4 way nail buffer which always comes in handy, a sachet of instant effect face cream which claims to reduce the visibility of wrinkles, and Jimmy Choo Man and Jimmy Choo eau de parfum. Both of the Jimmy Choo samples smells lovely and the Mr was particularly taken with the aftershave.
What did you get in your beauty box this month?

Pink Leopard

I wore this outfit to work recently as i decided i wanted to wear something nice and bright. The skirt is one you have seen several times and the top is one i was sent to review a while back.

The top was from Marisota i really like the bright pink in the leopard print and i think it goes really well with the bright pink skirt. You can still buy the top on the website here, i went for a 24 which is actually a bit big but i think that the 22 would have been far to small as there is no stretch at all.

I much prefer this top tucked in which is how i wore it to work. This skirt is fitted so my vbo was all out and on show but this doesn't bother me at all, for me if you have an issue with seeing the outline of someones stomach the problem is you not me and my squishy jiggly belly :)

Today's post is just a short one as today is my last shift at work before i head to Leeds festival. I have no idea what I'm taking with me I'm leaving it to the last minute as per usual! If your going and see me there come say hi.

Floral Fancy

I posted recently about my trip to the Simply Be store in Manchester where i got this amazing dress. I was lucky enough to be given a voucher by Simply Be for £50 to use on my visit so i used it to get this dress.

This is the most perfect dress ever, the fit is great and the material is so silky. I hadn't seen this dress online before my store visit so i was really pleased when Jax pointed it out for me to try. I went with a 24 in this dress as it didn't have any stretch so i needed to size up.

I'm 5 4'' and this dress comes right to the floor on me but doesn't drag so it would still work as a maxi for those a bit taller than me. The print is really bright and made me smile as soon as i put it on. I wore this to visit some family when it was super warm last week. The material of the dress is very thin so it works really well as a summer dress.

The Mr was making me laugh while taking these pics

I did add my favourite denim jacket before i left but it was far too warm to actually keep it on. I haven't worn a denim jacket in years because i could never find one that i loved but when i saw this one is Simply Be earlier this year i fell in love. This jacket is a size 20 as i wanted a fitted look i can still fasten it but it is a little bit of a squeeze.

I really love this outfit and i can see this maxi becoming one of my most worn items. Simply Be have so many amazing pieces in at the minute, so many that my wish list is slightly out of control!
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Burgundy and Flowers

This is an outfit that i wore a few weeks ago to run some errands and have a browse round the shops. I wanted something to keep me cool but that felt casual and comfy. I bought these shorts a month or so ago from New Look.

The shorts are a size 22 and fit well, they have an elasticated waistband to the back so they are really comfy to wear. They also have pockets which i think is a must when i comes to shorts. Unfortunately these are no longer on the website however they have these which are quite similar.

The vest top was from New Look last year is a size 24 as i wanted it to be over sized to help keep me cool in the summer. I really like the colour of the vest and it has a nice mesh details to the back of it too.

My shorts collection has grown so much recently and i have got quite a few pairs from New Look inspire. They have a great selection and they are a really good price too.  These shorts will be perfect to see me through the summer and as they are really lightweight they are great for taking away with you without taking up all the space in your bag.

Oversized And Sheer

I was in Asda a few weeks ago not looking for any clothes in particular but this over sized shirt stood out to me so i had to give it a try. The G21 range only goes up to a 20 however because the shirt is over sized it fits me great with no gaping at all.

I really love how the shirt is sheer but the spot print means its not completely see through. I wore this outfit to go to the cinema with the Mr and it was really comfy to wear. The skirt is from Primark and is a size 20 but has a fair bit of stretch so fits me as a size 22 fine. These skirts are only £5 so a complete bargain, i have one in black as well but they do other colours which id like to add to my wardrobe.

This shirt did come with a cute necklace all for £14 but i didn't want to wear it as i prefer the shirt without. I can imagine wearing this shirt with shorts or tucked into skirts.

Have you treated yourself to any bargains recently?

Want Want Want!

I haven't done a wish list type post in a while so i thought id share with you the things that have caught my eye recently.

I love these Chloe acid wash jeans as soon as i saw then i fell in love.

This Ax Paris kimono is perfect and comes in black too.
This maxi dress just screams summer to me, its perfect.

Ever since i got a sample of Agent Provocateur Fatale in a beauty box I've wanted to add it to my perfume collection, it smells so good.
These shoes are too cute!

What are you lusting after at the minute?

BakerDays Letterbox Cake

I was contacted recently by BakerDays and asked if i would like to review one of their letterbox cakes, it took me all of about 5 seconds to accept! Anyone that knows me knows that i have the worlds biggest sweet tooth so i'd never turn down cake.
I went onto the site and chose the design that i wanted, i went for one of the ones already on the site however you can send in your own image for them to use too which i think is great and would make the cake even more special.

Obviously i went for the cat design which looked just as good on the cake as it had done on the website. My cake only took a few days to come and it was a lovely bit of post to come home to instead go bills or leaflets for kitchens!

As you can see i went for the chocolate as for me that was always going to be my number one choice but you can get plain or fruit sponge and they do gluten or dairy free cake too.  Me and the Mr both had a slice of the cake pretty much as soon as i opened it and we both really liked it. The Mr isn't really keen on icing but he said this one was really nice and not too thick.

I think these letterbox cakes are a really good idea and something a bit different to just sending flowers for a special occasion. The letter box cakes give you 3-4 portions according to the website but i cut the pieces quite small so we got about 3 each, which were the perfect size to go with a cup of tea. Inside the box comes your cake, in a really nice tin to stop it getting damaged in the post, balloons, candles and a party horn. Seeing those little extras in the box really made me smile it is a lovely extra touch.
You can order larger cakes and even cupcakes which come with a cake stand too. Thank you to BakerDays for sending me the cake it really was delicious I'll definitely be ordering again!
