Lovely Luna

The next piece I'm reviewing from Taking Shape is the Luna Petti Dress, now this dress is designed to be worn under  dresses as a slip and to add some volume at the bottom ( i just thought it looked cute and didn't realise this till i read the description!) . But as you all know I don't like to wear everything as originally intended so I am going to be wearing this as a dress on it's own.

You could wear this as a slip it's very comfortable and the silky material means it wouldn't bunch your dresses up or you could wear it as a dress like me and break all the rules !

Again i was sent this in a XL which is an equivalent to a 22 and the fit is great however for a more fitted style you might want to size down, the material is very stretchy so i think i could fit well beyond the size 26 it goes to.

I like the dress just loose but i decided to style it up with a belt, now I'm not a huge belt fan to be honest but i think this dress does benefit from a belt if you intend to wear it a dress like me rather than a slip.

Some of you eagle eyed people might have spotted this belt and recognised it as the Beth Ditto belt from the Evans range several years ago. I love the sparkles and cameos on the belt and i thought it went perfectly with the dress.

I love the frilly mesh hemline and think if your wearing it as a sip it could add some nice volume to the dress your wearing over it, or if your wearing it like me it just adds a bit of fun to the dress. As much as i like a little black dress i do like it to have a little something extra just to make it stand out a little and this dress does that for me.

I really love this dress and i think it goes to show that if you like something then wear it don't worry about what it was initially intended to be worn as and let your style shine through. Leopard and Disney

This dress is one that i bought from eBay just after Christmas i won the bid at £6.99 which made it much cheaper than the buy it now options of this dress that were also being sold.

The dress was brand new and original from New Look i had bought i burguandy one from them a few months earlier and found it very easy to wear so though it was a good time to pick up another colour at less that half the price.

I got this in a size 22 and it fit well but its very short on my 5 4' frame, this is definitely not a dress i can bend over in! Its made of a thick jersey so its perfect for the colder weather and it came with the cute leopard print belt too. I paired it with my thick black tights and handmade Little Mermaid brooch.

I also love how the dress has half sleeves so you don't need to wear a cardigan or coat, so many plus size dresses seem to be sleeveless which is great in the summer but often means lots of layering in the winter time.

Sale bargain

I hope your all having a great week as i mentioned in my previous post my evans sale bargains came and i was excited to wear them out. I wore the Clements Ribeiro Adele tunic first, i got this in the sale for £12 as i got an extra 20% off at the checkout. When i first tried it on i wasn't sure about it i felt it needed something and i wasn't sure what that was, until i put the belt with it. As soon as i belted it i loved it. I had to get this in 22/24 as it was the only size left but i could easily have sized down, so if your on the lookout for one i'd suggest sizing down if you can.

The dress has great colours and you really stand out in it. I love the dress so much that I've worn it twice already, once to the cinema and also to work, and at work i got lots of lovely comments on it and the great colours. The dress is so comfy and a great length on me so i can wear it without tights or fear of flashing! i am only 5 4'' so being a shorty helps me here.

I wore the dress with the belt from the other evans sales dress i got and i did wear shoes but didn't have them on for the pictures so you get to see my awkward feet.

The weekend is nearly here have you got any plans ? I'm working tomorrow but then im off out for birthday celebrations with lisa from my big fat blog and lots of other lovely ladies. i still haven't decided on an outfit so off into the wardrobe i go wish me luck!
