September's beauty box

Because of when i signed up for the she said beauty they took two payments quite close together so i got the august and September box. I thought id share with you what i got in my box this time, i actually prefer this box to the previous one.

IMG_3374

Ginvera green tea gel- this is a sample size of the exfoliating gel, i needed a new exfoliating wash so this was good to receive and i get to try it out without paying for the full size. I have used this once it fells really nice and has small grains in sometimes i find they can be really big and hard on my skin but this was really nice.

IMG_3379

Collection 2000 primer - i do use primer and i have tried lots of different ones i didn't actually know that collection 2000 did one. I have used this and find it to be just as good as the others I've bought. This was a full size product worth £5.99.

IMG_3377

Collection 2000 make up fixer - This again is a full size product worth £5.99 its not the sort of thing i would use everyday but it would be great to keep make up in place on a night out.

IMG_3376

DHC deep cleansing oil - This is used to take off make up and clean your skin of any dirt particles and oils. I used this the other night for the first time, it does feel weird when you put it on but once i washed it off my skin felt clean and super soft. This small bottle is worth £3.

IMG_3380

Amie cooling clay mask - This was a sachet sample worth £1.50 i haven't used this yet but i'm excited to. It has over 94% natural ingredients and claims to draw out deep seeded dirt and prevent blemishes. I do use face masks but i usually get the peel off ones i can't wait to try this.

IMG_3378

Lastly just like last time we got a bonus gift and this time is was popchips, they are a low calorie crisp i have eaten mine which i got in a ready salted flavour. They were nice and i would buy them again, i usually find that "diet" food can be lacking in flavour but these were yummy. Good if you fancy something different to a standard crisp.

Did you get a box this month how did you find it?

Loved up in lace

I'm very lucky to be reviewing a dress from the lovely people at Yours today. I was in contact with them last week about some tights that i had bought from them when they asked if i wanted to pick a dress from the site to review. A dress of my choice ?! i didn't need to be asked twice and i jumped at the chance heading straight to the website to find a dress. There were so many to choose from i wanted them all but i managed to narrow it down and finally settled on this one.
I really love the lace detail and the colour, i chose purple but they also do the dress in black. You can buy the dress online and if your lucky enough to have a store close like me you can also buy it in store.
It's £39 and in my opinion its worth every penny.

Sorry it got dark as i was taking the pictures
The dress is a lovely colour and it looks great on. I went for a size 22 which fits me perfectly, i know from previous experience that the limited collection from Yours usually runs small but i found this true to size. The dress has a stretch lining under a lovely mesh overlay. It also has a dipped hem which doesn't show well in my front on pictures.

You can see the dipped hem in this picture
The dress also has the most amazing lace panel in the back which adds a lovely touch to the dress. I really love this dress and i'm wearing it to a friends wedding party i think its a perfect dress for the occasion, so thank you to Yours for sending it to me, you have saved me a 'what to wear' dilemma!

How gorgeous is the lace?!

I'm wearing this with my new lace cat ears headband and Irregular choice heels. I really love this and it has the approval of my hubby who loves the lace back and colour, what do you think ?
Do you have any plans for the weekend?
This dress was gifted to me for review i was not paid for my opinion all thoughts and views are my own.

Hitting the shops

Last weekend i met up with the lovely ladies from  Lolly likes and my big fat blog and did a bit of shopping. I really hadn't intended to buy much but i'll admit a few things caught my eye!
Heres what i wore to go shopping you have seen the dress before here it was from tesco a few months ago. It was a really nice day so i went bare legged and armed and i was still warm.

This is what the mr would call my angry face
i wasn't angry honest :)
I wore this with a headscarf and shoes from primark, my hello kitty ring from claires and a swallow brooch that i have two of which i think is also primark.

IMG_3305

So as I'm sure you know i can't go shopping and not buy anything so what did i get..

P1012596

The faux fur coat was a complete bargain from evans, i know we are still having summer but i can't resist a good faux fur no matter what the weather is like. Both pairs of shoes were from primark.

P1012597

The polkadot dress was in the sale at h&m we went in to have a look at the + collection which i must say is much better than it's been in the past, lots of colours and choice not just plain t shirts and naff blouses like before. The stripy dress i didn't actually buy it was a gift from lolly likes so big thanks to her.

P1012598

These are all from new look inspire i got a deep red skater dress with belt, bird print dress, leopard belt and that great cardigan which i think is fabulous, the mr hates it but I'm in love ! i think it might me a marmite cardigan you'll either love it or hate it.

I had a really great time shopping and as you can see i've got quite a lot to show you in future outfit posts.
Its nearly the weekend now thankfully do you have any plans?

Clements Ribeiro take 2

So today the Clements Ribeiro range went into Evans stores, i was lucky enough to be on a early shift at work today so my lovely hubby was kind enough to take me to the store to try on. I'm sure i have said this before but the staff at Evans meadowhall are the best bunch of ladies ever! They are so friendly, happy to see you and ready to see you strut your stuff in the changing rooms. I think nice staff in shops is important, they honestly make me feel like you've gone into a friends shop.
I would like to apologise for my messy hair it was straight from work and i was a little flustered.
So onto the pretties…
Firstly i tried on lace grace £95

IMG_3342

This dress is a size 22 i found the fit good but i did have to squeeze the skirt part over my bum ( i do however have a pretty sizeable booty so i don't think everyone will find this). Out of everything i tried on this was my least favourite but it's still a great dress. There are lots of different textures and its a very well made and well fitting but not really colourful enough for me.

Next is wisteria 21 £75

IMG_3332

This is a size 22 and maybe a little small over the tummy area. I really love the print of this dress and it was one of my favourites but i think i would size up to a 24. The material was very silky and soft and i love the lace details.

Next up mimosa print trousers £45 and top £45

IMG_3344

I wore the top tucked into the bottom as i'd seen Bethany rock on her blog. I really love this the print i great and the jersey fabric is so light weight, i tried the top in a 18 and the bottoms in a 20. I really wanted to buy these but i decided on the next two dress instead. I think I'm mourning the top and trousers as i type!

Next up celia £75

IMG_3336

This is a 22 and fits perfectly I'm so in love with the print and the lace cutouts on the shoulders are just perfect. The length on me is fab and can be worn with or without tight without me worrying about flashing. I have so much love for this dress.

Last but not least betty £75

IMG_3339

Again i tried this on in a 22. The dress is lined and feels quite thick which is perfect for the winter. I was drawn to this dress because of the gorgeous print and colours, i can see me getting lots of wear out of this.

So that was my after work adventure, i had intended just to go in to try on but i folded and my lovely hubby bought the two dresses for me he's the best!
Have you got anything from the collection yet or tried any pieces on ?

Sheer joy

Check me out with the cheesy blog titles! This outfit was one i wore to pop out to see my mum the other day. I found this amazing sheer shirt at the fat swap. It was brought by the lovely Lisa, its from asda and a size 24. I would never normally pick up anything like this and when i was talking my hubby through the things i'd got from the swap he did raise his eyebrows quizzically. I am so glad i picked it up because i love it, now this outfit is all black and as i was going to my mums i didn't put any accessories with it. She has 2 very boisterous dogs who like to jump and have big cuddles so you have to keep things to a minimum, which means no glasses ! next time i wear it i will add some colour to the outfit.

The black cami under the shirt and the leggings are both primark size 20. Im not very impressed with the leggings they are a bit see through and i found them quite small but for £3 i can't complain! The shoes are from primark a few months ago.
Here are nescafe and tetley making their blog debut

Not the most inspired outfit ever but it does the job for a visit to mums.
Do you ever pick something up that's so far from your usual style only to find your in love with it?

What have i been buying

Well the answer to that is not that much really, well in comparison to a usual month not much ! The clothes swap gave me a great opportunity to get some new clothes without having to spend loads of money. You will have seen from my fat swap post the new things that got there, i'm really pleased with the pieces i got.
So what have a been spending my cash on? Well a trip into primark saw me buy these,

I got 2 camis, black and plum £2 each, a pair of leggings £3, heart print headscarf £1.50, black pumps £6, velvet hangers £2.90 and last but not least the most amazing hat in the world £6. I really love the owl hat i don't ever what to take it off my head! its going to be great for winter.

These are from, yours, paperchase and KitschenSink.

The tights £8 and leopard dress £45 are from yours (and yes i do NEED yet another leopard print dress in my wardrobe). The dress i got is gorgeous and a great fit, it can do no wrong. The notepads are from paperchase and where £4.50 for the animal one and £3.50 for the brown one. The brooch was from kitchen sink £19 and is a one off piece made from an old bambi book. This is the most I've ever spend on 1 item of jewellery but i just fell in love and at least i know that no one else will have it.
cutest brooch ever or what?!
I have also bought a few new books after reading bits of them at the fat swap i decided i wanted to read them all, they were all bought from amazon market place.
fat books
That's what I've been buying how about you got any bargains recently?
XOXO

New to me

This is the first ootd featuring something from the fat swap. I saw this as soon as a walked in and I'm not ashamed to say maybe i stalked it a little until those lovely words were shouted "start swapping". I really love the colour of this dress and that's what first drew my eye.

IMG_3207

As you can see i can't fasten the top of the dress but I'm all about making it work for me so i just put a cami from primark underneath. I really love the detail on the front of the dress, the way it ruffles over the front of the shoulders. The dress had just one label inside which is sears but no size so i can't tell you what size it is. The dress looks quite old although i'm no expert so i wouldn't like to say when it was originally sold.

IMG_3209

I love this dress and the fact i got it in return for something i no longer wore is great. I hope that someone is as happy with one of my dresses as i am with this.
I hope you have all had a great weekend what have you been doing?
XOXO
