Acid Wash and Polka Dots

As you saw I'm my last post i fell in love with these Simply Be jeans and had to have them in every colour! So today I'm showing you the indigo acid wash ones, these were the first pair i bought and have me totally in love with the "Rosie" style. The fit is great and they really do hug you which i love. My advise on these jeans is to size down one size for a great fit as there are generous with plenty of stretch.

P2016340

I wore this outfit last week when me and the Mr went to five guys for burgers, which i must add are the best burgers I've ever eaten. These jeans are comfy to travel in and you don't get that dig in at the waist which I've had with other jeans before. Length wise they are a little long for me but only about an inch or two.

P2016337

I decided to wear these with my Simply Be jacket which i got a month or so ago.  This blazer is quite thin with some stretch so you can easily size down in this, i went with a 20 and there is still room to add a thicker top underneath if you wanted to. I've been after a polka dot blazer for ages and this one is perfect and it has long sleeves too which is good for the colder months.

P2016353

As i wanted to add a bit of colour i decided to wear my leopard print top which is also from Simply Be but no longer available. I really loved how this outfit all came together and i love the clash of leopard print and polka dots.

P2016349

Has anyone else tried the Rosie jeans yet?

Cosy with Curvissa

I was contacted recently by the lovelies at Curvissa who asked if i wanted to do a coat review with a few other bloggers, I'm always on the look out for something cute to keep me warm especially with all this cold weather we are having at the minute so i said yes and was sent this beauty to review.

I got this coat on Monday night and wore it the next day to work, i was so glad of it too as it was absolutely freezing outside and it kept me lovely and warm! Sorry for the quality of the pictures they were taken on my phone during my break at work as i wanted to show you the coat in daylight and i seem to be leaving home and returning in the dark at the minute.

 how beautiful is this coat?!
This beauty is available here
This coat is amazing I'm in love with it already and i can see it becoming my go to coat this winter. I went with a size 20 as i have had a few pieces from Curvissa in the past and find the sizing to be generous, so my advise would be to size down in this coat. The coat comes to my knees so its a really good length, i have a few faux fur jackets but i find my bum does get a bit chilly in this weather without any coverage!

The coat fastens with 3 hook and eyes and a button at the very top, i did find when i sat down they did come undone a few times but this might have been me rushing to fasten in on my way outside. The faux fur is really soft and quite thick and the arms are the perfect length for me as i tend to find with most coats i have lots of material left at the arm and they swamp my hands.

As you can see i can fasten up the coat with no issues or gaping and it was very cosy and comfortable to wear. This is available in either leopard print or black faux fur, it is priced from £140 but it is defiantly worth the money, the fur is soft and none of it has come off which has happened to a few of my faux fur jackets in the past. I'm totally in love with this coat its just perfect and something i will wear over and over again for lots of winters to come.
Check out the other ladies getting involved too,

Long Forgotten

I was looking through my dress wardrobe the other day to find something to wear for work when i spotted this leopard print dress.

PA116145

Now i must admit my dress wardrobe has been a little neglected recently as i have fallen more in love with shorts over the last few months. But i never expected this dress to still have the tags on as i knew i bought it over a year ago!

PA116156

This dress is one i got from New Look all those months ago. I remember i loved the detail on the sleeves so much i knew it was going to be coming home with me. I really is a shame it hasn't been worn since that day as it really is a beautiful dress.

PA116143

As is been over a year since i bought it this dress doesn't quite fit right and is a little too big in a few places. I think next time i wear it i will add my brown belt as i think that will pull it in better under the bust giving the dress a much better shape.
Do you have anything hanging in your wardrobe that still has the tags on?

Nine X Lingerie

I was contacted recently by Nine X to ask if i wanted to review their Aila leopard print babydoll. I have never actually owned a babydoll so i wasn't sure what to expect, but as soon as i tried it on i was happy i had said yes.

P9136013

The material is really soft and silky and does have some stretch to it. The size 22 fits me but not in the loose way it looks on the website. I actually like the fitted look of this but i would suggest sizing up if you did want it to look looser. The quality of this is really good, all the seems and edges have been finished well, so for £19.99 you get good value for your money.

P9136005

There is a cute lace trim under the arms and around the back which adds a nice touch too. The halter neck fastening is adjustable so you can wear it as high up as you want. Around the waist the material is ruched so it adds a nice shape to the babydoll and there is a flare of material at the side where the gathering is.

P9136014

I think this babydoll is really cute and it made me feel like i had made an effort with my lingerie. You can get this from the website and it's also available in zebra print and a darker leopard print too. I have had a look around the website and they have so many cute pieces including many is sizes 12-30.
So if you are looking for some good value, great quality lingerie that will make you feel fabulous then try NineX.

Modelling at Plus North

A few weeks ago  i was at Plus North an annual event and i got to model for Simply Be, like last year i had a blast! I'm afraid to say i was a bad blogger and forgot to take any pictures as i was busy chatting with lots of lovely people and browsing the stalls full of beautiful pieces.
Lisa did manage to snap a few pictures on my phone so i will share those and i was lucky enough to be able to keep the pieces i modelled so that i can show them to you today.

There are lots of post about Plus North if you want to read more about the day and if you search #plusnorth on instagram you will find so many amazing pictures. Also Katy has done a vlog of her time at Plus North so take a look here, she also managed to get most of the catwalk shows filmed too, it was great to see everyone modelling as i had missed one of the catwalks.
So first up i modelled this beautiful playsuit in a size 22. The fit is great and as it's made from a soft jersey material it's so comfy. This playsuit has a beautiful lace detail over the top and shoulders, and the cut out at the front which turns what could have been quite a plain playsuit into something special.
I will definitely be getting lots of wear from this, i think its a really easy piece to dress up and down.

P9135989

I was also sent a leopard print underwear set to model, which had me super excited. I was sent this gorgeous bra and these knickers that hug your bum in the most amazing way! I was sent the knickers in a 22 which fit really well and are comfy too. The bra was a size 42F and although i thought it would be far to small when i first saw it it actually fit me really well and didn't feel tight or uncomfortable at all.

P9135982

Sorry for the lack of pictures during the event but as i say i was having far too much fun! I hope you are all having a great weekend.

Leeds Pride

Its been a few weeks since Leeds Pride but i wanted to share my outfit with you from the day. This whole outfit has come from New Look inspire. It was nice weather for Leeds Pride but as i had to set off at 8am that morning i took a jacket as i wasn't sure what it would be like later in the day.

P8105952

This jacket is a size 18 i had to size down by two sizes to get the fit that i wanted. If you want this to be a more oversized jacket then you could always go for your usual size. They had loads in store so if they don't have your size online you could always try your local New Look.

P8105956

The jacket is really thin so you won't overheat in it and it you are going away and want to take a jacket this would be perfect. The jacket doesn't have any pockets which is a little disappointing but the cut and bright floral design more that make up for that.

P8105964

I wore my acid wash shorts which are no longer online and this cute leopard print vest i got last year. The short are a size 20, i had to size down to get them to be fitted due to the stretch material. These are really comfy they are made from the softest material ever!

P8105959

The vest is a size 24 and is a good fit for me. It has a nice gold detail around the neckline which is what made me want it last year. I think the leopard and the floral from the blazer went really well together. I also wore a pair of bright pink pumps which i ended up having to throw away, i think i danced the soles right off!
I took lots of pictures on the day which you may have seen if you follow me on instagram if not and you want to follow me you can find me here.

Sale Steal

I have had this dress for a few weeks now, i bought it in the sale from Fashion World for a bargain price of £13 as i had a discount code too. I had been eyeing up this dress for months but wasn't sure if id get the wear out of it at full price. Then me and Lisa decided to go to Blackpool for her birthday and i decided to take the plunge.

P6295823

I got the dress in a size 22 my usual size as i wasn't sure what the fit of a cami dress would be like. When it came i fell in love with the print and feel of the dress but the shape wasn't doing it for me so i decided to add a black belt and then i fell in love.

P6295812

This dress is really lovely it has a silky satin feel to it but because of this the material doesn't have any stretch to it. It also as two gold chain straps which you can just about see over my bra strap, i'd love to wear this without my bra straps showing but I'm yet to find a strapless bra that actually fits well and that i can keep on all day.

P6295815

The dress without a belt comes to about my knee but once i added the belt the dress is more mid thigh   which is fine by me. The only downside to this dress is the armpit room, the sides on this dress come down to almost my bra line. I really wish that when people designed clothes for a larger body they stopped making the armpit holes huge! yes we do have bigger arms but trust me we dont need all that armpit gape.
P6295817

Overall i love this dress and i think it will be perfect to dance the night away in Blackpool! If you fancy getting this dress for yourself it's available online here and it's still in the sale too.

Leopard and Denim

I was placing an order on Simply Be a few weeks ago and had a 15% off voucher so decided to add a few things to my basket that i had been looking at and wanting to order for a while. The first is a pair of flip flops, i have been wanting a cute pair that i can wear at work but i didn't want to place an order and pay delivery just for those so i was waiting to add them onto another order.
I pretty much decided these were the flip flops for me the first time i saw them, they looked comfy and they were leopard print so do i really need to say any more!

P5185761
sorry for the slight blur on the picture I'm not sure why the camera did that
These flip flops are £14 full price and available in E and EEE, i went for a size 5 in the E width and they fit well, they haven't had a proper road test yet but I'm hoping they stay comfy.
The other item i added to my order is this super cute Alice and You acid wash dress i must have looked at it everyday since it first went onto the site and i finally caved and ordered it.

P5185753

I wasn't sure on the fit so i stuck with my usual size 22 which is a great fit for me, but if you are between sizes you might want to size up as there is no stretch to the material itself. The dress is quite thin so i think it will be great for summer and i can imagine me wearing it with wellies at the festivals.

P5185751

This dress is quite short but still covers my bum and i don't feel like its going to ride up any minute and flash it either. There is a stretch panel around the middle to give the dress some shape and some cute little cut outs and the sides to make it a little more interesting.

P5185757

P5185760

I had been after a cute denim dress for some time and this one ticks all the boxes. I can see this becoming a staple of my summer wardrobe as its really easy to wear and doesn't need anything to add to it. All i need now is my sunnies and I'm ready to go!
Have you added to your wardrobe recently?

Bargain Biker

A few weeks ago i popped into the Simply Be store in the White rose to have a browse and to try on a few pieces I'd seen online which i posted about here. This leopard biker jacket had been on my radar for a while but i wasn't sure on the fit so i wanted to try it on first and luckily they had it in store. I fell in love with the jacket and was going to buy it but remembered i had a 10% off code at home so decided to wait and buy online, I'm really pleased i did as it was down to £25 instead of £50 online.

P5185734

I sized down and went for a size 20 as i waned a fitted jacket when it was open but i can still fasten it all they way up as there is some stretch to the material. However if you want to be able to layer up under it then i would advise to get your normal size.

P5185738

I wore this with my Claire Richards jeans, which i know you have seen many times before but i honestly love them so much! The polkadot peplum is from last years sale at New Look. I really like this jacket it's very easy to wear and looks super cute with dresses too. Because of the stretch in the material it isn't restrictive to wear either.

P5185745

The sleeves on the jacket are 3/4 length and flare out a little towards the bottom which i think adds a little extra touch to an already fabulous jacket. The animal print is a soft velvet like flocked print i did try to get a picture although it doesn't really show it in full.

P5185732

I'd recommend this jacket to anyone who like me loves a bit of animal print and is after something a little different. I don't usually buy much white clothing as i tend to spill food, more so when I'm wearing something that will stain easily but I'm crossing my fingers i can manage to keep this stain free. So if you see me wearing this jacket and a bib then you know why!
I hope your all having a great weekend and if your off this bank holiday have a great one :)

Blazer Love

I have recently rekindled my love of blazers, when i was younger i wore a blazer with jeans every chance i got although if you asked me to wear my school one that was a big no no! So when Yours Clothing asked me to pick a few items and i spotted this blazer i fell in love.

P4275695

This blazer is a lovely soft jersey material, which is my preferred material as it moves with you and doesn't feel as restrictive as others made from a more structured material. I was sent this in a size 22 and this fit is great.

P4275689

The sleeves are 3/4 ones which i really like, as i do have a massive love for my forearms. And i love the polkadot cuff at the end of the sleeves, i think it makes a plain black blazer stand out. You can also get this blazer with an animal print cuff which i love too. At £35 it's around the price you would pay for a blazer from most shops but its worth the money as i think they go with everything especially shorts!

P4275691

I wore this with my jeans and leopard print tee and i felt fabulous. Blazers always make me feel smartly dressed and this outfit was definitely a winner for me ! If you want to get your hands on this beauty then its available online here

Piercings and Partying

Two weeks ago now me and Lisa went into Sheffield to have catch up, and few drinks and to get pierced. I had decided a few months ago that i wanted to get my tragus pierced so off we went to blue banana in Sheffield who i have been pierced by before. They are really nice and chatty and get everything done super fast.

After piercings we went and had a browse at the vintage fair that was in town and then off to the pub we went. I had a great day and night and lots of dancing was done as always when me and Lisa get together. Here is what i wore when i went out, again i am rubbish and didn't get a picture before we left for Sheffield in the morning so i recreated my outfit here,

P3155513

Firstly i know you have been seeing a lot of this jacket recently but i am completely in love with it and its so easy to wear! I wish Tesco would bring it back out in other colours so i could buy more of them.  I have been desperately searching for something similar to this jacket so i can mix it up a bit but so far i haven't found anything.

P3155516

I decided to wear a shirt and shorts which i hadn't worn before but i thought they looked super cue together. The shirt is from New Look Inspire last summer and is a size 24 as i needed to size up to get it to close over my boobs. I really like this shirt the only negative about it was that a few of the buttons gape even though there is no tension in the shirt, it was happening over baggy part which i found very odd. However i could just sew the shirt up and leave the top few buttons so i can get it on and off.

P3155524

Now lets talk about these shorts, i adore them! I bought these shorts from the Angela Ribbons collection at Simply Be along with this pair that i have already blogged about here. They were my birthday gift to myself and I'm so glad that i got them as i love both pairs so much. These are a size 22 and a perfect fit, there is even a little room. They are a little longer and not as fitted as the other pair, they also have this really great detail around the sides at the bottom.

P3155530

These shorts are made from a thicker denim than the other pair and aren't as stretchy however they have a small stretch panel at the waist which helps keeps them comfy after a big dinner. Simply Be have come up trumps again for me with these shorts.

Cheeky Lace

A few weeks ago i ordered 2 pairs of shorts from Simply Be for my birthday and couldn't wait to wear them. As I'm sure you all know i adore shorts and i will wear them for any occasion so when i saw that Simply Be had new shorts in stock i was so happy! I decide to wear this pair when i went out for a few drinks after work with some old friends.

P3025497

I wore my Old Navy cardigan which i got years ago while I was in Florida, and the dipped hem tshirt that i picked up in the Simply Be sale for £10 just after Christmas. I really love this top it is so soft i spent most of the day stroking it! Unfortunately its not in stock on the website at the moment but if it comes up on ebay snap it up its so easy to wear!

P3025506

These shorts are a size 22 and have a little room in them so if you fancy a pair you can just get your usual size. They have stretch to them, so they are really comfortable to wear and they come to mid thigh so they are pretty short. But you all know how i love a booty short.

P3025509

The shorts have a white lace trim which just adds to the cuteness of them. I cannot wait until the summer when i can wear them with a cami or sheer shirt and bare legs, i did put nude tights on when i went out, as it was pretty chilly.

P3025501
Bit of a squiffy face in this pic, i blame the hangover!

I have already got a few pairs of shorts from Simply Be and they never let me down they are always cute and a great fit. Every time i check their website i always check the shorts section first, i think i might have an addiction!

Dancing Partners

A few weeks ago i went out with my favourite lady Lisa to celebrate my birthday. We met up for food and then spent the evening having a few cheeky drinks and doing a lot of dancing. I didn't get any pictures of my outfit before i went out that day as i had a few issues with tights and hair and false eyelashes which meant i was running around like crazy and getting a little stressed that i would be late.
I re created the outfit so you could see what i wore

P2165435

I really did not dress for the weather is was pretty cold and really windy then half way through the night it started to rain and i don't think it stopped. My feet ended up getting so wet my shoes were leaving wet footprints on the dance floor but it didn't stop me and Lisa having a great time.

P2165439

I wore my Tesco leopard jacket which you have seen a few times now, my much loved New Look inspire denim shorts and a cute floral tshirt which i got last summer from New Look inspire but never wore. I think i paid about £15 for it and got it in a size 24. I thought the floral and leopard print went really well together and i loved how this outfit looked even when it was wet through!

P2165445

P2165448

I am looking forward to re creating this outfit in the summer without the tights and hopefully without getting caught out in the rain again.
I hope you all had a great weekend.
XOXO
