Junarose Stripes

I had a bit of a shopping spree recently and found myself on the Simply Be website they had a really good sale on and i had a discount code to use too so i wanted to try something new. I spotted this striped dress which isn't something i would usually wear as there isn't really any shape to it and i don't usually wear stripes, not because it don't like them i just always get drawn it by brighter bolder prints.

This dress is down to £13 in the sale which is a total bargain. I love this dress so much its so different to what i wear usually but i love that. I went with a size L which is a 18/20 as it advised online to size down but i think if you want an over sized look you should go for your usual size.

This dress does have a lot of stretch but is made from a thickish material so its really comfortable to wear and i think it will keep its shape too. I love the cuffs on the dress they can be folded over to show the denim inside which i think is a really cute detail.

I wore this last week to pop to Meadowhall and pick up a few bits i needed from Primark, i added my leopard print trainers and this cute hair bobble i found while i was cleaning a few weeks ago and i was good to go!
I got quite a few more bits from the Simply Be sale so i will be showing these soon.

Life recently

Things have been a little quite over here, i have been busy learning to drive at the grand age of 28 and i have recently got a secondment at work for a new job as well as having building work done and having a poorly kitty. All of this has stacked up and i feel like i haven't had the time to blog. I still manage to odd twitter rant and there is always time for a selfie on Instagram.

Her are a few pics of what I've been up to the last month or so.

Looking cute for my interview, the jacket was from the Evans sale and the dress is a super old Asos one.

Here is what I've been buying, everything apart from the striped bardot dress fitted amazingly and now has a new home in my wardrobes.

Making brownies for work, these were so good !

My Charlotte Tilbury lipstick came and its just as beautiful as i had imagined.

Me and the Mr went for a day trip to Leeds as i needed a few bits from IKEA, which has just resulted in stress but I'll leave that for another day!

I was so proud i put my flat pack storage up myself and look how cute it is!

Marvin has been poorly recently he has a problem with his bladder which blocked and could have been fatal if we hadn't got him don to the vets in time. He is feeling a bit better now and taking all his tablets like a champ.

What have you been up to while I've been away?

#SimplyBekini

I was contacted a while ago by the lovelies at Simply Be who asked if i waned to be part of their #SimplyBekini campaign, I said yes of course! I believe anyone should be able to wear a bikini if that's what they want to wear and no one should try to tell you otherwise or make you feel bad about yourself. Its your body and your choice and never let anyone tell you different!

P6156450

Yes I'm fat and wearing an bikini and guess what they world hasn't ended! If you take issue with a fat person in a bikini then that's all on you maybe you should take a second to think why it bothers you and why your not out their enjoying yourself rather than getting upset over a fat belly and some cellulite?! I like to wear a bikini when I'm by the pool or at the beach, I'm not the best person when it comes to the heat so I'm all about the bikini and keeping cool.

P6156448

This bikini is really well made and definitely worth the money as it is on the pricey side (for me at least) The top i got in a 40G i had never had a bra or bikini from Elomi before but i think i should have sized up but I'll know that for next time. The bottoms are a size 22 and fit like a dream, plus the plain black bottoms can easily be mixed and matched with bikini tops you already own.

P6156451

I'm gutted that these pictures have been taken inside and not during some holiday somewhere in the sun while i was lounging in the pool but i will just have to dream of that holiday for now. If you are lucky enough to be going on holiday this year check out Simply Be's amazing range of bikinis and if your a little nervous or unsure give one a try, you'll feel amazing and look fabulous.

P6156452

And remember if you get any snaps of you in your bikini then use the #SimplyBekini hashtag i can't wait to see you all rocking you in the sun!

Dungaree Heaven

I really love short dungarees but they can be super hard to find when your above a size 18, last year i bought a pair from Simply Be and i love them but i have always wanted a more distressed looking pair and of course i wanted acid wash because its my favourite. As soon as i saw these on Simply Be i knew i had to have them!

P5106420

They were perfect, acid wash with a distressed look. I was a little worried they would be too long as the look quite far down the leg on the model online but I'm happy to say that when they came the length was perfect.

P5106424

I ordered a size 20 and 22 as i wasn't sure how they would fit. As soon as they came i was ripping off the packaging to try them on and they didn't disappoint. The size 20 ones fit me but when i sat down the legs were a little tight as there is no stretch to these at all. The 22 fit a lilt looser all over and are perfect on the legs when i sit so i decided on the size 22 which is my usual size.

P5106422

I got these using a discount code i had so they only cost me £28 which i think is a total bargain. I would love these in a few more colours a pink acid wash would be perfect!! Although i love short dungarees i have never worn a full length pair but i think i might have to change that as I've seen so many people rocking them out recently.

P5106429

I wore these out a few days after they arrived to go and do a little shopping and get food with the Mr. As it was a little chilly but i didn't want to take a coat i wore them with my My Little Pony jumper that i got from Primark a while ago. I thought the outfit looked super cute even if i was absolutely boiling by the time we sat down to eat.
If you are in the UK and lucky enough not to be working this bank holiday i hope you all have a great time and enjoy the long weekend!

Tropical Swing

So after what seems like forever I'm doing a proper outfit post! I bought this dress a few months ago from Simply Be, it was on the sale rail for £25 if i remember correctly. Swing dresses aren't something that i usually wear but i wanted something that had sleeves and that i wouldn't need to adjust as i danced the night away.

P5106399

I picked this up in a 22 and this fit is great, the only negative to this dress is its pretty short and I'm only 5 4''. When I'm stood its long enough to cover everything but when i walk upstairs or I'm dancing none stop with my favourite dance partner Lisa its cutting it fine! As it was chilly when went out dancing i added some black tights which pretty much solved the bum flashing issues.

P5106396

The print on this dress is great is a really bright tropical print and the long sleeves meant i didn't need to take a jacket to keep the chill off. This dress is really great to wear and the print is fun too so i didn't really add many accessories to it. The dress is still available online but a lot of the larger sizes seem to be sold out.

P5106398

On a side note i much preferred this dress when i had blue hair, I'm not sure if its the camera making my hair look more red than pinky/purple that's making me think it. I do really like this dress but I'm not sure it will be my go to dress.

Interview Wear

I had a interview a a few weeks ago for an opportunity at work so i decided to wear something that i would feel good in but i also wanted to be comfy as interviews make me nervous!

P3086379

I decided to go for my Simply Be kiss print tube skirt which I've had for quite a while now, i got it in the sale last year so its no longer available on the site but I'm sure one or two might pop up on eBay.
I wore this with my Tesco top that i got a month or so ago. I tucked the top in as it's quite a boxy shape, and i really loved how it looked.

P3086376

The skirt is a size 20 and made of a thin stretch material, its so comfy to wear and was perfect for a day at work and keeping comfy during my interview. If I'm honest this skirt doesn't get the love it deserves but i intend to change this and move it to my work wardrobe so it gets more wear.

P3086374

This top has been worn so much since i bought it, it was a bargain at £14, i couldn't find it online but i bought mine instore so if you pop in they might have a few left.
I hope your all having a great week!

Pink Acid

I thought i would share with you third colour of the Rosie jeans that i bought from Simply Be last month. I really love these jeans so much i cannot say a bad word about them! I have them in dark indigo and a light acid wash too.

P3086358

I have been wearing these to work and at weekends too and between the 3 pairs i don't seem to wear much else. I paired these with a top i bought last month from Asda. Its a really cute top and its made from a thin material so its perfect for the office

P3086361

These jeans are a size 20 and fit really well, i would recommend sizing down in these are they are generous and have lots of stretch to them. They are shown on the website as pink but in real life i think they have more of a purple tone to them. As i have said in my previous posts these jeans are a little long for me as I'm only 5 4'' but it doesn't affect the look of them.

P3086360

The top was from Asda i can't find it online anymore but if you pop into your local Asda they might still have it in stock. The top is a size 22 and it fits really well i can see this going really well with shorts in summer or tucked into skirts.
Has anyone else tried these jeans, what are your thoughts?

Birthday Love

It was my birthday a few weeks ago and i had the best few days! The Mr took me for burgers, shopping and treated me to my favourite fragrance then we relaxed at home which was lovely. A few days after my birthday me and Lisa went to Leeds for some drinks and lots of dancing.

Yes we take all the false lashes!

I wore a Simply Be swing dress I've had for a year or so with some black tights as it was super cold that night, it kept me warm walking to the bars but was a little warm for all the dancing that i did.
As always i had a wonderful night out with Lisa she is a wonderful dance partner and she always has emergency eyelash glue which came in super handy that night trust me!
I also wanted to show you the amazing gifts she gave me for my birthday i was truly spoilt. My birthday card had instructions and a little explanation for each gift it was such a thoughtful touch.

How amazing are the phone cases cats, pizza and burgers the best combos ever. There was other snacks too but i ate them before i even got chance to take these pictures.

Lisa knows how much i love nail polish and these colours are great, the Barry M is a fab two tone purple and bronze.

Lisa made me the glitter photo frame and put a picture of us on a recent night out in there too. The glitter bow is perfection and everyone needs a unicorn clutch right?!

The brooch is so me and the collar clips are amazing i think i might have done a rather large squee when i saw this.
So a big thank you to Lisa for a fabulous day and for being the best dance partner ever.

XOXO

Acid Wash and Polka Dots

As you saw I'm my last post i fell in love with these Simply Be jeans and had to have them in every colour! So today I'm showing you the indigo acid wash ones, these were the first pair i bought and have me totally in love with the "Rosie" style. The fit is great and they really do hug you which i love. My advise on these jeans is to size down one size for a great fit as there are generous with plenty of stretch.

P2016340

I wore this outfit last week when me and the Mr went to five guys for burgers, which i must add are the best burgers I've ever eaten. These jeans are comfy to travel in and you don't get that dig in at the waist which I've had with other jeans before. Length wise they are a little long for me but only about an inch or two.

P2016337

I decided to wear these with my Simply Be jacket which i got a month or so ago.  This blazer is quite thin with some stretch so you can easily size down in this, i went with a 20 and there is still room to add a thicker top underneath if you wanted to. I've been after a polka dot blazer for ages and this one is perfect and it has long sleeves too which is good for the colder months.

P2016353

As i wanted to add a bit of colour i decided to wear my leopard print top which is also from Simply Be but no longer available. I really loved how this outfit all came together and i love the clash of leopard print and polka dots.

P2016349

Has anyone else tried the Rosie jeans yet?

The Perfect Jeans

This is a pretty casual outfit that i wore to go to see a late night film with the Mr. I wanted to be warm and comfortable and this outfit hit the spot.

P2016295

These jeans are amazing!!! I saw them on the Simply Be website and fell in love but i was unsure what size i would need and if they would stretch enough to fit my calves. A few weeks ago i went into the pop up store in Meadowhall and spotted the dark indigo version of these so i picked them up and headed to the changing room. After trying on the 22 in these i decided to size down to a 20 as these are really stretchy and the size 20 still has a fair bit of room in them.

P2016304

These jeans are super soft with plenty of stretch i have them now in all 3 colours as i simply couldn't resist. These are the light acid wash ones available here for £35 which i don't think is bad for what is basically a second skin. I cannot praise these jeans enough, i was going on about  them so much Lisa has ended up buying them too!

P2016306

The top is an old one from Evans that I'd actually not worn in forever so i decided to give it an outing although looking at the pictures I'm not sure if it will be one that i keep.

P2016310

Lastly i wore my super amazing burger trainers which were in that sale for £15 at Schuh. The Mr has been trying to get me into a pair of converse for the last 10 years but I've always resisted thinking the would be uncomfortable or not really me. These however are burgers, so that swayed me and i ordered them. As you can see i haven't fastened them all the way up to the top as my ankles are pretty chunky. I also found them surprisingly comfortable too which is always a bonus.
I hope you are all having a great weekend, having gone out last night to celebrate my birthday I'm nursing a giant hangover right now!

Birthday Treats

It was my birthday on Wednesday and i decided to treat myself to a few bits so i thought i would share with you what i bought.
My first stop was Primark as i had won a £10 gift voucher from the lovely Natalie's blog  a few weeks ago. So i managed to get all this and only paid £8.50!
The shoes are for work and dancing as they are super comfy and only £4 a pair too. Don't get me wrong these shoes won't last you a lifetime but with how fast i ruin shoes they are the best value for money.

I also picked up a necklace, some midi rings and some giant hoop earrings from the jewellery section. I haven't tried the tights yet so i can't comment on the fit, Primark tights used to be amazing but they they changed them and i haven't tried since so I'm hoping these will fit better. The bag was a bargain at £4 i bought something very similar about 3 years ago and its my go to bag so i thought i would get a new one as it was getting a little worn. The eyeliner and lipstick were from Superdrug, the Rimmel lipstick is an amazing colour but it seems to go bitty very quickly

I picked up some cute tops from Tesco today too. The denim shirt was a bargain at £5 and the white top is so cute and will go with so much of my wardrobe. I also wanted to try Balmi lip balm so i picked one of these up while getting myself some hand cream.

Of course i had to pop into Simply Be as i was passing on my birthday and this textured top screamed out at me. I love the bright colour and the fit it great too. While i was paying i spotted this cute necklace in the sale and snapped that up too.

I was super spoilt by the Mr who bought me my favourite perfume for my birthday and one i hadn't tried yet. I really love Vera Wang perfume its smells so good and lasts for ages as well.
I hope you are all having a good week and have an amazing weekend whatever you are doing.
XOXO

Floral Bargain

I called into my local Asda one day not really looking for anything in particular but i must have been having a good day as i spotted a cute floral print coming from the sale rack so went over for a look and found these amazing trousers.

P1076283

I found these trousers in a 20 and decided to try them on, i usually wear a 22 in trousers but as these are made from a thin scuba material with stretch i thought i might as well give them a go. I went to the changing room and to my surprise they fit and with room! I think comfy trousers that look smart are really hard to find so i was really pleased with these. Even better they were only £4!

P1076276

I wore these the next day to work to test them out for comfort and i can confirm they are very comfy. I wore them with Simply Be eyelash knit jumper which kept me super toasty all day. I think these will look cute with a plain cami and my denim jacket in the summer too.

P1076279

I couldn't find these online but Asda do have a similar pair here on the website if you want to give something similar a try.
I hope you are all having a great week.
