Fatty At A Festival

I'm sure you have all read in my previous posts that i recently went to Leeds Festival. Now this was my first festival and i couldn't wait to go and experience it much to others peoples apprehension when i told them. After all I'm quite the pop princess and I've never even been camping never mind to a festival!
Well i survived and i had the most amazing time, there was lots of dancing and laughter and catching up with old friends, oh a little drinking too ;)
So i thought I'd show you what i wore, i couldn't show you my wellies though as i left those muddy little things there!

P1014768

The shorts were in the sale at New Look for £9 and the t-shirt is from Betty Bee Vintage.

P1014764

I got this sweat top just before i went from Asda for £12 i really loved the print it reminds me of an old sofa!

P1014759

This t-shirt was from Primark and it was nay a few pounds but i love it its so soft and comfy and as you can see the 20 had plenty of room.
If you didn't see my tweets from the festival you might not know that my tent flooded after the first day and never dried out as it rained for pretty much the whole festival! My lovely friend Megan was kind enough to let me sleep in her tent though so big thanks to her :)
Here are a few snaps from the festival

OMCZ Neon

No outfit post from me today I'm afraid as i managed to hurt my back and i hadn't taken any pictures before i did it so for today's theme of neon i decided to show you my favourite neon pieces online.

First up are accessories as sometime full on neon might seem a bit ott.

This collection 2000 polish is a great none pink and for £1.99 its not going to break the bank.

This neon purse is £13.99 from new look and will help to add a bit of neon to an outfit.

I really love the neon edging on these pumps from New Look £29.99 here.

Now onto some neon pieces of clothing

This tunic has a panel of neon pink over the back i really love it and think it would be great for sumer £30 from Simply Be.

I love camis and these neon coloured ones will add some bright colour into your wardrobe. They come in a pack of 3 for £20 again from Simply Be.

I not sure if this t-shirt is classed as neon but either way i love it! Only £14 from ASOS.

Sorry for the lack of outfit post today :( hopefully i'll be back on form soon enough.
My giveaway has now ended i will announce the winner on Friday.

Now check out the other ladies

Maxi stripes

I have wanted a striped maxi for ages but i haven't been able to find one. While i was shopping last week with Lolly and Lisa i spotted a striped maxi dress at the edge of the Inspire section in New Look i  picked it up and saw it was a size 18 which would usually be way to small for me but it wasn't from inspire it was from the maternity section!

I decided to try it on anyway and it fit with loads of room so i bought it. The dress is online here i got the 18 but i think that depending on how fitted you wanted it you could get away with this dress up to a size 24/26. The only problem with this dress is the belt loops are really low on the dress i assume because your "bump" should be there but I'm just going to tie the belt higher and snip off the loops.

P1014020

I wore this dress to go out for breakfast and do some shopping with the hubby, it was really comfy and light to wear. I can tell its going to be perfect for the summer.
I added my black cardigan as it was a little chilly out and a pair of Primark pumps which you can't see as I'm a shorty so the dress goes right to the floor.

P1014026

The hubby was looking very cute in his outfit so i snapped a picture of him too.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Ladies dates are lovely dates

Myself, Lisa and Lolly arranged another lady date recently to go shopping. Myself and Lisa intended to window shop only but that soon went out of the window oops!
Here's what i wore to go shopping, it was pretty cold but as i was just going to and from the car so i didn't really need a coat.

P1013919

This dress is one my hubby bought me from Evans. I got it in a size 22/24 and as its a jersey material it fits over my boobs without the gaping that i usually get with button down fronts.

P1013914

I wore this with Tesco tights, my Primark pumps and headscarf and my  Irregular Choice bag. I thought the outfit looked really cute and the dress was really comfy to wear. The fit is great and the tie waist gives the dress some shape, Its available online here for £45.

P1013918
I had a really great day with lots of laughs these ladies always make me smile!
So as i said i did fail miserably at window shopping which is no great surprise really is it?! Here a sneak peek of what i bought,

You may have spotted them but i bought another pair of short shorts which made me a very happy lady! The shorts, stripy maxi dress and leopard print dress are from New Look. I got 2 pairs of glass from Primark for re glazing and a leopard maxi skirt. I also got a pair of tights from Yours.
The leopard print skirt was featured in fridays post as we all bought it, whats not to love about leopard print?!

Does your window shopping ever turn into much more?

Polka dots and leopard spots

This is an outfit i wore to go out with the mr last week, we went to see resident evil which was ok but I'm sure i could have lived without seeing it. I wanted something comfy but also something that i'd  not worn for a while. The spending challenge means i need to shop my wardrobe but i like to show outfits you've not seen before so off to the back of the wardrobe i went (unfortunately it doesn't take you to Narnia but you can find a gem or two in there!)

P1012923

I decided on this dress from New Look which i got about a year ago, i also have the same one in a lovely burgundy colour I think i paid £24.99 for the dress.  I wore my Torrid leopard print cardigan that i got when we went on holiday to Florida. The dress is a size 20 and fits well you can definitely size down it's a great length for me too i could wear it with or without the tights but as it getting colder now i opted for my wool tights from asda. The cardigan is a size 3 i have no idea what that means in numbered sizes but it fits, it's a little bigger than i liked but the size 2 was a bit small on me.

P1012926

I wore my hair in my snood as i was having the worst hair day ever and nothing seemed to go right. I really want to get another snood but I'm still deciding on colour, i think they are great for keeping your hair out of the way or controlling it when its misbehaving!
The mr was wearing his new jumper (which is so nice i want one) and posed for a picture for me

I hope your enjoying your weekend I'm off to meet lovely ladies and their other halves tonight what are your plans?

Plus size outfit day

While i was catching up on blogs last month i spotted this post on Miss Temple's blog. It was for plus size outfit day if you want to read about the ideas and lovely ladies behind it check out this post from Miss Bartoz or this one from Rubenesque. There is also details on there if you are interested in joining in.
The idea is for bloggers from all over the world to show their take on the monthly theme and share fashions.

So the theme for this month was burgundy, i knew straight away which dress i would choose. I had bought this dress from New Look on a recent shopping trip. The skater dress is very popular at the minute lots of places seem to be selling them, this is only the second skater dress in my wardrobe but I'm sure it won't be my last. The dress is still available here and was £22.99 which is pretty cheap compared to some of the other skater dresses I've seen.

P1012663

I bought the dress in a size 24 the 22 fit me perfectly but i felt it was a little short so i sized up for some extra length. As you can see the dress is still pretty short on my 5 4" frame. The colour of the dress is a great deep wine red as close to burgundy as i have in my wardrobe, and its made from a fairly thick jersey so it will last during the winter too.

P1012666

P1012667

I wore the dress with black pumps and a leopard print headscarf from primark and my squirrel necklace from asos. The belt I'm wearing came with the dress and its fits with extra room, its not one of those plus size dresses that come with a tiny little belt that doesn't even fasten!

That was my take on burgundy take a look at what the others have done

Do you have many burgundy items in your wardrobe?
XOXO
