Cosy Winter Knit

It's gotten pretty chilly over the last few days so i decided to dig out my cutest jumper for work the other day. I bought this jumper last year from New Look, the cute little pug caught my eye and i knew it had to be mine.

PB086183

I bought this in a size 24 as i wanted it to be over sized, its so comfy and cosy and it was perfect for a day at work. The jumper is quite thin so i wasn't too warm inside but it kept me snug when i was outside on my lunch. It is super soft too, there is nothing worse than a scratchy jumper!

PB086182

I wore this with my new jeggings from Matalan, I'm totally in love with them and have worn them so many times since i bought them a few weeks ago. I can see them becoming a staple as we go into the colder months.

PB086178

I felt super cute in this outfit and i was comfy all day. I am seriously contemplating buying another pair of these jeggings as they are so amazing! If anyone else has any recommendations for other jeggings let me know as I'm pretty sure I'll need more of these over the winter.
I hope you all had a great weekend i was working Sunday so I'm looking forward to a 3 day weekend this week.

Casual and Cosy

Today i thought i would share with you my outfit from work last Saturday. I hate dragging myself out of bed early on a Saturday morning but if i have to i want to be cosy and comfy for the day. So this is what i wore last week when it was still really rainy and windy.

P2165423

I'm pretty sure you will all have worked out now how much i love these Claire Richards jeans by the amount of times you have seen them over the last few weeks! These jeans have been the most amazing addition to my wardrobe and i have actually ordered another pair of jeans in a damson colour so I'll let you all know how i get on with those.

P2165424

I decided to wear my Simply Be Ax Paris jumper which i got in January for the bargain price of £10 in the White Rose store. I am wearing a size 24/26 and the fit on me is great but it is definitely small fitting, i had picked up the 24/26 as i wanted it to be a little over sized which it isn't but i still love it anyway.

P2165427

This jumper is one of the softest that i own, i adore eyelash knits but this is my favourite. I wore it all day and it hardly lost any off its fluffiness and kept its shape. I have another eyelash knit from another company which unfortunately from the beginning didn't keep its shape and now after several wears it  is considerably longer at the back than the front. But I'm pleased to say there is no sign of that happening with this.

IMG_7606

Look at all that fluffy!! I really love this jumper and will be wearing it more over the cooler months maybe even with shorts which i think might look cute. If you want to get your hands on this jumper they may still have some in store or you can get it online here.

Spotty Sale

Here is another jumper i picked up from my Doncaster shopping trip, this was a bargain at £15 in the Simply Be sale. I bought it to go with shorts again as i really loved how it looked with them when i tried it on in store.

P1195227

I really like how the jumper has shorter sleeves and is quite a loose fit. This one is a size 20/22 and has quite a bit of room in it. Its like nothing that i already own, and when i first picked it up it was more out of curiosity of how it would look rather than because i loved it. But I'm so glad i did because now i don't want to take it off!

P1195226

I think this will be my go to jumper to wear with my shorts and it will be perfect when the weather warms up a little too and we don't need to wear coats to stop us freezing! This colour of jumper is no longer in stock but they do have it in a cute blue colour which Lisa wore here

P1195228

As you can see i am very pleased with my purchase ! The shorts I'm wearing were from New Look in the sale over a year ago so my whole outfit cost me £25 which i think is really good!
I think i might me in the middle of a jumper craze i am loving them at the moment.

Floral Pug

A few weeks ago when i went to Doncaster shopping i fell in love with this jumper from New Look inspire. I'm loving knitwear at the moment and i am growing quite a collection as i love how they go with my shorts and help me keep warm too.

P1195230

I got this jumper in a size 24 as i wanted a relaxed fit that i would be able to layer up underneath if i wanted to. It a really soft jumper and doesn't itch at all, i wore it last time i went to visit my nan and i kept me toasty warm along with my thick tights!

P1195236

I love the cute floral pug on the jumper which is what first caught my attention. The jumper is still available online here for £24.99 you don't need to size up like me unless you want it to have a baggier look.

P1195234

Even though its winter i am still getting lots of wear out of my shorts by wearing them with my 120 denier tights, it might be cold but your can't keep me out of my shorts!
Although i was really disappointed by the inspire section at Doncaster's New Look I'm glad i still managed to find this beauty. I really enjoy being able to try clothes on so when stores like this reduce their plus size sections or remove them completely its really disappointing!

Fun With Friends

I hope your all having a great weekend, I'm having a lazy one as last weekend was busy with lots of fun and friends.
I thought I'd share my weekend with you, it started on Friday when i met up with the lovely Lisa my favourite dancing partner and we went out to paint the town red. There was lots of drinking and even more dancing. Here are a few pictures from the night.

I didn't get chance to get a picture of my outfit but i wore this Project D dress which i modelled for Simply Be last year. It was perfect for a night out dancing and was really comfy to wear too.
On Saturday me and Lisa went to Doncaster to meet with lots of lovely ladies for a spot of shopping. To say i was a little delicate might be an understatement ! I had a great day with the ladies and it was great to see them all again. Here is a picture of what i wore on the day, the shorts are from New Look and the sweater is from Asda.

As always our first stop was Simply Be where i think between us we tried on all of the shop, the staff were lovely as always and i came away with a few bits myself.
Me and Lisa shared a changing room so she kindly took these pictures of what i tried on so i thought i'd share them. Sorry for the odd faces in some remember i was a delicate flower that day :)

I love this denim jacket as i was wearing a jumper on
the day and wanted a tight fit i tried it on
without a top so excuse all the boobs!

I tried this skirt in a 20, i would have loved the pu
to go all the way around.

OMG i fell hard for this dress! There was only a 20
in store so it couldn't be mine on the day.

This dress was a 22 and i do like it but i thought it
was just a little too cutsey for me.

I loved this sheer shirt but i wasn't sure i wouldn't end
up tripping over the back!

I thought this jumper looked fab with shorts so it had
to be mine.

I didn't take this home with me as it was a 20 and
maybe a little small but i wish i had done!
After Simply Be the other girls went into a few more shops then we headed to New Look before going for dinner. The New Look inspire in Doncaster used to be really great but this time i was a little disappointed. There space was the same size but there was only about 1/3 full with stock. I did however  come home with a jumper from New Look with the cutest pug on.

So that is my little haul from last weekend. The denim jacket i got in a size 20 and was £35, the spot jumper was a 20/22 and a bargain at £15. The pug jumper is a size 24 as i wanted an oversized look and it was £24.99.
I have searched high and low for the perfect denim jacket for the last couple of years and i finally found it I'm so happy!!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend whatever your doing :)

Cosy Cat Lady

I was contacted recently by Just Curvy who asked if I'd like to review a piece from the website, i had been doing a bit of internet window shopping so i already knew the piece i would pick. You all know me and my love of cats by now, so as soon as i saw this jumper i knew i needed it in my life.

PB245050

The jumper has the cutest cat on it and it even had the back legs and tail on the back which i love!

PB245046

I decided to wear this with my Dorothy Perkins leopard skirt to work last week. The jumper was really comfy and kept me warm, i did add a thin cami underneath as it was particularly chilly on the day. I was sent a 24/26 in this jumper and it just fits me so i would say it is on the small side. The main reason for this is the stitching at the bottom which is quite tight without much give, i just tucked this bit back underneath the jumper and it was fine for me.

PB245042

The jumper has small sequins stitched in all over the jumper so it shimmers when you catch the light and looks really pretty. You can buy the jumper online here for £29.99 its a must for any of you cat ladies out there!

PB245044

As a major cat lady there was no way i wasn't going to choose this jumper but i also fell pretty hard for this skirt which i think would look amazing on, the print is fabulous! And for £14.99 it not going to break the bank either.

If you haven't tried Just Curvy yet give them a try they have lots of cute pieces on the site and all at really reasonable prices.

Velvet Shorts

This weeks omcz post was a free week, now this outfit is not out of my comfort zone but while wearing it i noticed it got a lot of attention, lots of disapproving looks and few tuts thrown in for good measure. Now just because my outfit gets that reaction doesn't mean i don't feel fabulous in it or that i won't wear it again. I truly believe that if you love what you wear nothing else matters and you should never let anyone make you feel uncomfortable in something that you love.
I am very aware that not everyone has my level of confidence or the ability to look someone in the eye who's obviously chatting shit about you and give them that sarcastic, i caught you and i don't care look. In a way this outfit is for you.

PA064921

I wore these shorts from Simply Be, yes they are short and they have a cut to on the side which makes them look even shorter. They are the most gorgeous velvet and they have pockets too. I went for a size 24 as i tend to size up in shorts and the fit it great they have got room but i think the 22 would have been too tight for me.

PA064920

I wore them with this lightweight jumper from New Look as i wanted to dress down the shorts a little. The top is a size 24 as i wanted a baggier look and was only £14.99. I absolutely adore these shorts i wish Simply Be could do then in every colour so that i could buy them all!

PA064922

As you can see these shorts are short and there is a lot of leg on show but i love my legs so I'm going to get them out and no amount of tuts will ever stop that. I see a lot of people in short shorts but these are the first pair I've seen in a plus size store so thank you Simply Be for giving me something I've been longing for for months!

PA064926

So I'm not breaking out of my comfort zone this week so why don't you give it a go instead, wear that item that's been in your wardrobe for months or the dress you love but never wear or you could take a leaf out of my book and opt for the tiny shorts!

Check out the others here,

The Jumper of Dreams

A few months ago I went to the blogger takeover for Simply Be and I fell in love with this jumper. What was not to love?! It's eyelash knit, super soft, it has bobbles and the cutest crochet collar ever! I swear I had dreams about this jumper!

Then at plus north over at the Simply Be area i fell in love with a few pieces so of course as soon as i got home on Sunday i ordered them, and a couldn't forget about the jumper of dreams so into my basket that went too.

P1014825

I ordered a size 24/26 as I wanted a looser snugly fit, your usual size will fit but if you prefer a looser look like I have I'd advise to size up. The jumper is a lovely cream/white colour so I'm hoping that i don't spill anything down it because if i do there is a chance i could cry :)

P1014828

I decided to wear it with my Dorothy Perkins leopard print skirt which i got in a size 20 and it was a perfect combination. I think the red goes really well with the jumper too.

P1014836

This jumper is perfect for the chillier weather and it's so cute too! I have a huge soft spot for eyelash knit and this jumper is one of the cutest I've seen. I can't wait to pair this jumper with some thick tights and a cute pair of shorts.
Now the warmer weather finally seems to have left for the year I'm sure I will get lots of wear out of this jumper!

Leopard leggings

I have wanted a pair of leopard print leggings forever, i know they are a marmite item but i just love them. Lets be honest i love anything leopard print!
I finally found the perfect pair in New Look just after xmas, they were the right colour and made from typical legging material, i had seen some before in new Look but they were made from a felt like material.

The leggings were actually the only pair they had in store and are a size 24. They fit great on the legs but are a little big around the stomach, a size 22 may have been a better fit but as they only had the 24 in store i can't say for sure.

P1013447

The leggings were £9.99 more than i would usually pay but as they are leopard print i made an exception. I wore them out with my eyelash knit jumper from Yours and i was cosy and comfy all day.
Here's what my husband likes to call an action shot, not sure what i was doing but i think the picture is cute.

P1013449

I hope you are all having a great weekend :)

Cosy knit

While i was out shopping the other weekend i went into Yours as i wanted to try on the jumper that i had seen in the email newsletter a few weeks ago. The jumper looked so snug and cosy and as you know I'm not really a separates girl but this just jumped out at me.

I got the jumper in its bigger size a 26 as i wanted it as baggy as possible, there is a lot of stretch to the jumper so although i wear a 22 i think up to a 30 could fit in the 26 if you didn't mind a closer fit. The jumper was £28 and is available online here i don't think the website picture shows just how gorgeous this jumper is. Its super soft and cuddly warm and the perfect jumper for winter Sundays when you wants to snuggle up and watch films.

P1013196

I wore the jumper with a scarf i got from the fat swap, tied around the head to keep my hair in place and my trusty Tesco leggings.  I can see me wearing this lots over the winter, the jumper is an eyelash knit and is slightly see through in some parts which i like, but if it was super chilly you might want to put a cami underneath for extra warmth.

P1013199

I really love this jumper its defiantly worth the money, the only thing i found was that the sleeves were quite long on my little arms as I'd sized up to the 26. I really want Yours to bring this out in some more colours so i can stock up, i think it would be great in a blue or maybe pink.
Have you bought your winter knits yet?

Day 6- something out of your comfort zone

I always wear dresses or playsuits something about separates just doesn't click with me. However I love this outfit, the skirt is from Dorothy Perkins years ago and the cat jumper is from asos curve again ages ago. I think I love this because it's cats and polka dots, my favourites! I always see tops and skirts that I like but I don't buy them because I know I'll never wear them. I love to see how other people put them together but apart from this outfit I never feel comfortable.
Do you have something that's out of your comfort zone but you love to wear?
XOXO
