Tropical Swing
So after what seems like forever I'm doing a proper outfit post! I bought this dress a few months ago from Simply Be, it was on the sale rail for £25 if i remember correctly. Swing dresses aren't something that i usually wear but i wanted something that had sleeves and that i wouldn't need to adjust as i danced the night away.
I picked this up in a 22 and this fit is great, the only negative to this dress is its pretty short and I'm only 5 4''. When I'm stood its long enough to cover everything but when i walk upstairs or I'm dancing none stop with my favourite dance partner Lisa its cutting it fine! As it was chilly when went out dancing i added some black tights which pretty much solved the bum flashing issues.
The print on this dress is great is a really bright tropical print and the long sleeves meant i didn't need to take a jacket to keep the chill off. This dress is really great to wear and the print is fun too so i didn't really add many accessories to it. The dress is still available online but a lot of the larger sizes seem to be sold out.
On a side note i much preferred this dress when i had blue hair, I'm not sure if its the camera making my hair look more red than pinky/purple that's making me think it. I do really like this dress but I'm not sure it will be my go to dress.

Outfit Favourites from 2014
I wanted to share with you my favourite outfits from 2014 so here they are in no particular order,
I wore this outfit at Leeds Pride and i loved everything about it, the clashing prints and of course the shorts!
I wore this outfit at Leeds Pride and i loved everything about it, the clashing prints and of course the shorts!
This was a dress i wore for Lisa's birthday in Blackpool i spent the night dancing away in it and loved every minute.
This was a cheap and cheerful outfit that made me feel amazing. I love the boxy cut of the top with the tube skirt.
I remember the day i found these on Fashion World i was the happiest girl alive. Plus size dungarees! need i say more.
This picture is actually making me miss the purple hair a little. I wore this outfit a lots last year including a very cold wet night out with Lisa.
Because its true i do love them! Also these Claire Richards jeans are the most amazing jeans I've ever worn.
This is a bit of a blurry one but i loved this dress so much i had to include it.
Having never been a fan of swing style i remember trying this on in Simply Be and falling in love, it was the perfect addition to summer.
This is the underwear i modelled at Plus North, i had a great day and met some amazing people and this was my favourite outfit of Plus North.
This was one of those outfits i just threw together but ending up really loving. The dress was so beautiful and this denim jacket is perfection.
So those were my ten favourite outfits from 2014 they all have amazing memories attached. So here's to another year!
Happy New Year everyone :)

All the wants!
Its been quite some time since i did a wish list post so here are a few things that have caught my eye over the last few weeks.
I have such a strong desire for this dress from Simply Be isn't it beautiful?!

I'm pretty smitten with these boots also from Simply Be.
And continuing my nail polish obsession this Barry M top coat would be perfect in my collection.
These collar clips from Black Heart Creatives are the cutest ever!
I think this could be the most perfect shade of lipstick ever!
And finally as you know i love a bit of leopard print so why not add some to my laptop!
What do you have on your wish list at the minute?

Neon Daisy
Today I'm sharing with you the outfit i wore on Sunday day at Plus North, Sunday was a more relaxed day with a clothes swap and talks from fellow bloggers. I only stopped on Sunday for the swap as i was meeting the Mr for food with Lisa so i wasn't able to stop for the talks. I got some great bits at the swap which i will be sharing with you soon, i even ended up wearing a whole outfit from the swap on Sunday night.
The top was another piece i bought in the Manchester Simply Be store. Again its from Ax Paris but i can't see it on the website anymore unfortunately. I'm not surprised its sold out to be honest as its such a cute easy to wear top.
I'm wearing a size 24 here as i wanted a looser fit to really show off the swing style. The top doesn't have any stretch to it really so i would advise to get your usual size or maybe one size up if you do manage to get your hands on it.
I teamed this with my acid wash shorts from New Look inspire which are no longer in stock, and my trusty New Look jacket. I decided to take this with me to Plus North as i thought it went well with all my outfit choices and i was a bit stuck for space as my case is only really small, but it does look like a penguin so its worth it!
I think i did quite well at packing light for Plus North and i managed not to forget anything along the way. Although when i do forget something while packing its usually the most important thing!
I hope your all having a good weekend do you have any plans?

In The Swing
As i mentioned in my previous post i didn't get many pictures at Plus North and i also forgot to take a picture of my outfit before i set off i think i was a bit too excited to get there!
Here is what i wore on the day, although it was really hot in the event so the jacket didn't stay on for too long.
This dress is from Simply Be and by Ax Paris. I'm wearing a size 22 which is a perfect fit for me, it is a really good length, short but not short enough to flash anything. Its such a nice bright colour and the collar is just too cute. Unfortunately this dress is no longer on the website but you could try your local store if you have one.
I bought this dress when i went to the Simply Be store in Manchester and this was the first time i had worn it out. I had been worried that i would spill something down the middle of it but i managed not to somehow! I hadn't worn a swing dress before this one but know I'm a total convert i love the style so much.
This jacket has had quite a lot of wear since i first bought it. It was from New Look inspire and a size 18 as i wanted a more fitted look. i really love how all the colours looks together.
I also wore my amazing custom made Black Heart Creatives princess earrings on the day too which i love!
Have you found a style you love after thinking it wasn't for you ?

Floral Fancy
I posted recently about my trip to the Simply Be store in Manchester where i got this amazing dress. I was lucky enough to be given a voucher by Simply Be for £50 to use on my visit so i used it to get this dress.
I did add my favourite denim jacket before i left but it was far too warm to actually keep it on. I haven't worn a denim jacket in years because i could never find one that i loved but when i saw this one is Simply Be earlier this year i fell in love. This jacket is a size 20 as i wanted a fitted look i can still fasten it but it is a little bit of a squeeze.
This is the most perfect dress ever, the fit is great and the material is so silky. I hadn't seen this dress online before my store visit so i was really pleased when Jax pointed it out for me to try. I went with a 24 in this dress as it didn't have any stretch so i needed to size up.
I'm 5 4'' and this dress comes right to the floor on me but doesn't drag so it would still work as a maxi for those a bit taller than me. The print is really bright and made me smile as soon as i put it on. I wore this to visit some family when it was super warm last week. The material of the dress is very thin so it works really well as a summer dress.

The Mr was making me laugh while taking these pics |
I really love this outfit and i can see this maxi becoming one of my most worn items. Simply Be have so many amazing pieces in at the minute, so many that my wish list is slightly out of control!
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Sale Steal
I have had this dress for a few weeks now, i bought it in the sale from Fashion World for a bargain price of £13 as i had a discount code too. I had been eyeing up this dress for months but wasn't sure if id get the wear out of it at full price. Then me and Lisa decided to go to Blackpool for her birthday and i decided to take the plunge.
I got the dress in a size 22 my usual size as i wasn't sure what the fit of a cami dress would be like. When it came i fell in love with the print and feel of the dress but the shape wasn't doing it for me so i decided to add a black belt and then i fell in love.
This dress is really lovely it has a silky satin feel to it but because of this the material doesn't have any stretch to it. It also as two gold chain straps which you can just about see over my bra strap, i'd love to wear this without my bra straps showing but I'm yet to find a strapless bra that actually fits well and that i can keep on all day.
The dress without a belt comes to about my knee but once i added the belt the dress is more mid thigh which is fine by me. The only downside to this dress is the armpit room, the sides on this dress come down to almost my bra line. I really wish that when people designed clothes for a larger body they stopped making the armpit holes huge! yes we do have bigger arms but trust me we dont need all that armpit gape.
Overall i love this dress and i think it will be perfect to dance the night away in Blackpool! If you fancy getting this dress for yourself it's available online here and it's still in the sale too.

Casual and Cosy
Today i thought i would share with you my outfit from work last Saturday. I hate dragging myself out of bed early on a Saturday morning but if i have to i want to be cosy and comfy for the day. So this is what i wore last week when it was still really rainy and windy.
I'm pretty sure you will all have worked out now how much i love these Claire Richards jeans by the amount of times you have seen them over the last few weeks! These jeans have been the most amazing addition to my wardrobe and i have actually ordered another pair of jeans in a damson colour so I'll let you all know how i get on with those.
I decided to wear my Simply Be Ax Paris jumper which i got in January for the bargain price of £10 in the White Rose store. I am wearing a size 24/26 and the fit on me is great but it is definitely small fitting, i had picked up the 24/26 as i wanted it to be a little over sized which it isn't but i still love it anyway.
This jumper is one of the softest that i own, i adore eyelash knits but this is my favourite. I wore it all day and it hardly lost any off its fluffiness and kept its shape. I have another eyelash knit from another company which unfortunately from the beginning didn't keep its shape and now after several wears it is considerably longer at the back than the front. But I'm pleased to say there is no sign of that happening with this.
Look at all that fluffy!! I really love this jumper and will be wearing it more over the cooler months maybe even with shorts which i think might look cute. If you want to get your hands on this jumper they may still have some in store or you can get it online here.

Fat Mermaid
I'm sure many of you saw the quick picture I posted to twitter when this dress came but I think it deserves a post. Now I haven't worn this dress yet but I know a lot of you were interested in the fit etc so I thought a post on how to become a fat mermaid was needed :)
Now that's out of the way lets talk about this dress I mean WOW!! I fell hard for this dress I'm completely in love.
As soon as this dress came and I tried it on I fell in love, the fit is great but the sequins and all the colours of the dress really make it for me. I honestly felt like a mermaid !
Step 2 : Complete order
Step 3 : Sit by the letterbox until it arrives
Step 4: Put the dress on. You are now a hot fat mermaid go lure others with your charms and sparkles!
It is fully lined with a stretchy body con style lining so the dress does allow for movement. I ordered the 24 which is perfect, I would suggest ordering a size up if you can as I think that will give the best fit.
The sequins are all over the dress in greens and blacks so they really look amazing when you move and the light hits them.
There is an exposed zip to the back so you can get the dress on and off, I wouldn't have been able to pull it over my head like I do with most dresses.
This dress comes just below my knee and I'm 5 4" so if your taller than me it will probably be a above the knee dress.
If I've managed this there now should be a video where you can see the beautiful colours of the dress when you move.

Dressed Up To The Nine (lives)
Last week the lovely Louise from Polka Spots And Freckle Dots joined twitter we had been chatting and she had tweeted that she was planning to post about the Ax Paris cat print dress. I had been tidying out my wardrobe recently and noticed that my dress still had the tags on, so i needed to wear it. I suggested that we do a joint post to show you all how we both styled it.
I love Louise's blog and she has a wardrobe i am envious of, lots of pretty dresses with some amazing prints and patterns !
I bought this dress months ago when it first came out and i think i paid about £30 but to be honest i can't remember exactly. I really love the print and the dress itself but i got all panicky that i would ruin it if i ever wore it so its just been sitting pretty in my wardrobe.
I wore the dress with a Asda cardigan that I've had for a while, some Irregular Choice shoes and Tesco tights.
I bought this dress in a 24 as i needed to size up for the top to fit comfortably because of this the waist is a little big on the dress but its still very pretty and i would prefer the waist to be a little big than not be able to breathe because the top was too tight.
The dress is now out of stock on the website but i do hope they bring another version back this summer maybe with a different animal print on.
The dress has a silky feel to it and it lined so i won't be going see through in the sun, and it has a lovely flare to the skirt that makes it perfect for twirling.
Thats my take on the dress now pop over and see how Louise styled hers Louise's Blog.
Do you keep things for best out of an irrational fear of spoiling them like me?

Stop spending October week 4
This week was really easy up until the point i went to the Simply Be store opening. I was surrounded by temptation, very pretty lovely temptation. So before i tried anything on i was half way to breaking, i did go into the changing rooms several times to try different bits on and i fell in love with two pieces.
They were the cat print Ax Paris shirt which was £25 and the print dress for £47.
They were the cat print Ax Paris shirt which was £25 and the print dress for £47.
I knew i had my get out of jail free card left as I'd not used it in previous weeks, but i only wanted to get one,it was a hard choice but i loved the dress the most so that's the one that i bought. I really loved the way it felt on and the print is so different to anything else in my wardrobe.
I'm still classing this week as a victory as before the challenge i would have bought both without a second thought. So although i spent £47 i saved myself £25.
How has the week been for you if you doing the challenge?
XOXO
