A Sad Time

Hello lovelies i hope you are all well. There hasn't been too much action from me recently, i had a very poorly kitty and sadly last Tuesday we decided it was time to put Buttons to sleep. He was an old man around 15 years and had lived with us for around 6 years.
So although it was a sad time i knew it was for the best and we had lots of loves and snuggles together, he had the loudest purr ever and it's weird not to hear that now although i have two other Kitty's who are more than happy to get my attention!
Now comes the cat lady spam (i will try not to post every picture ever that i have of buttons!)

Buttons would sit it silly positions then
freeze when you walked in like he got caught
doing something!

Time for my close up!
Buttons and Marvin

All three kittys together
We took Buttons to be cremated, the place we went to is so nice and the people that work there are so lovely ! I have been going here for a long time with my parents and their pets. So here is Buttons urn, as soon as i saw it i knew it was perfect for him, stood looking very regal just like he did.

Galaxy Kitty

A few months ago now i went to the opening of the Tshirt Store and while i was there i fell in love with this tshirt and i had to take it home with me.

P1195219

The store has a set price for t shirts which is £30 for one or £55 for two, which might be a bit expensive for some but the price is higher because the quality is so much better than most other tshirts i own, scratchy cheap and they shrink beyond wear the first time you wash them.

P1195215

The tshirt is so soft and the 2xl is a perfect fit for me. The tshirts are all unisex so the whole store is filled with options. The 2xl fit me as a size 22 perfectly and it might even fit up to a 24 if you have less boob than me.
I adore the cute kitty on the tshirt, just look at him isn't he the cutest?!

P1195220

There were quite a few kitty tshirts in store so i might end up with a few more over time! Although £30 is more than i would usually pay for a tshirt i can honestly say that it really is worth the money as the quality is amazing and all the cotton is fair trade too.

Cosy Cat Lady

I was contacted recently by Just Curvy who asked if I'd like to review a piece from the website, i had been doing a bit of internet window shopping so i already knew the piece i would pick. You all know me and my love of cats by now, so as soon as i saw this jumper i knew i needed it in my life.

PB245050

The jumper has the cutest cat on it and it even had the back legs and tail on the back which i love!

PB245046

I decided to wear this with my Dorothy Perkins leopard skirt to work last week. The jumper was really comfy and kept me warm, i did add a thin cami underneath as it was particularly chilly on the day. I was sent a 24/26 in this jumper and it just fits me so i would say it is on the small side. The main reason for this is the stitching at the bottom which is quite tight without much give, i just tucked this bit back underneath the jumper and it was fine for me.

PB245042

The jumper has small sequins stitched in all over the jumper so it shimmers when you catch the light and looks really pretty. You can buy the jumper online here for £29.99 its a must for any of you cat ladies out there!

PB245044

As a major cat lady there was no way i wasn't going to choose this jumper but i also fell pretty hard for this skirt which i think would look amazing on, the print is fabulous! And for £14.99 it not going to break the bank either.

If you haven't tried Just Curvy yet give them a try they have lots of cute pieces on the site and all at really reasonable prices.

Casual Kitty

Today brings another outfit from my recent shopping trip, everything is from New Look Inspire. I had seen this hoodie online a few weeks ago and thought it was cute, of course i did its a cat after all !
When i went into New Look last week i decided to give it a try and see how i looked in a hoodie as its not something I've worn in a few years.

I got this hoodie in a size 26 as i wanted something i could snuggle into and layer up underneath it too. It was £19.99 and you can get it online here along with a fox, raccoon and a mouse. I wore this to do some errands on Sunday with these shorts and it was comfy to wear and it meant i didn't need to think about a coat or a jacket.

I love the fact the hood has cats ears on it as well as the face on the front its just so cute. I would say you need to size up at least once in this unless you want it to be tight fitting even though there is some stretch to it.

The inside of the hood is leopard print which as you know i love so much! These shorts are a size 22 which I've had for quite a while now, they were the first pair i bought and the start of an obsession for me. I'm sure this hoodie will get worn quite a bit as its perfect for those hungover/ or lazy days.

I realised how much of a crazy cat lady i looked when i was out in this as i had on this cat hoodie, my cat tattoos were to and i had a cat phone case in my hand!

Meet Wilbur

As i mentioned several times over the last weeks i couldn't wait to have my tattoo done and last Friday i finally had it done!
This pic is a little dark but i love it

He took just over 3 hours and was done by Padz at Lucky 13 I'm really happy with the tattoo. It looks just as i wanted him too purrrfect :)

It was recommend that i wet heal, which means to clean and cream 3 times a day and keep covered with cling film for 5 days, I'd never done this before but i can honestly say it has been amazing! its healed so well and I'm really pleased and i can't stop looking at him.
I plan to have a lady cat in a frame on my left thigh done by Padz again. I would definitely recommend him, he was super fast but with great results and the shop was really friendly too.
Finally its Friday! i can't wait for the weekend, i hope you have a great one.

More Shorts

It's time again for a OMCZ challenge an this fortnights was shorts, now they aren't out of my comfort zone as I'm sure many of you know i love them!

I have quite a number of shorts that i could show you but i decided to go with the pair i got with my ASOS order last week. I really love them and although part of me wanted to wait until they were in the sale i didn't want to mis out on then if they sold out.

P1014321

I got the shorts in a size 24 and they fit will a bit of room, there isn't any stretch to them so i did order a 24 and 26 and i didn't want to buy one and be disappointed i couldn't wear them if they were the wrong size.

P1014329

I love the two tone denim of the shorts its different to any of the others i have and they are really soft and comfortable. They are online here for £30, I'm loving all the shorts that ASOS have in stock at the minute, its really not helping my obsession!

P1014326

I wore the shorts with a Primark top which is a size 18-20 from the nightwear section, but I'm wearing it out as i love it and don't think it looks like a top you would sleep in. I added some Irregular Choice pumps which my mum got me a few christmas's ago and some nude tights so they didn't rub.

P1014330

I love the top so much and its so true of me, there are plenty of days i'd like to switch places with my cats!

Now go and check out the other ladies and see how they styled their shorts

It's all abut the prints

Sorry for the lack of outfit posts at the minute I've still been having problems with my back so i haven't felt too much like getting dressed up.
I have noticed so many bright pop art type prints around at the minute which i love. I have treated myself to a few bits so i thought I'd do a quick post to share them with you.

As you can see there is quite a lot of print and its all very fun and cute, so what did i buy?
The kiss print and zebra tops from Clements Ribeiro at Evans, i tried on lots of pieces but these were the two i really liked the fit of and i can't wait to wear them!
I got the kapow body con dress from New Look which is available online here.

Then i got lucky in Primark where i got a hello kitty t-shirt, cat t-shirt and doughnut vest. I also managed to get the comic print high necked body con dress and a cute cat face make up bag.

I'm really happy with all the bits i got and it might be a bit of a surprise that i got more tops than i did dresses but i really need more tops to wear with my shorts.
It's not clothes related but i also got this bedding from Primark which my hubby loves and put on the bed for me so i don't have to fight with the duvet.

What have you been buying recently?

Workwear Chic

This months fatshionologie was what would you wear for a work meeting or interview. Now I'll be honest I've only ever been for a handful of interviews in my working life, i have worked in my current job for nearly 9 years so this is what i would wear if i was told i had an interview tomorrow. I think it shows I'm unique and not afraid to stand out.

P1014272

I'm wearing the Simply Be trousers i blogged about here which are a dream to wear and a shirt i picked up a few weeks ago from New Look i got it in a size 24 so that it would fasten over my chest (you don't want to be flashing during an interview! )
I added some Irregular Choice heels and a cat brooch to the collar and I'm ready to be hired :)

P1014268

I love this shirt with the trousers and until the challenge i wouldn't have thought to put the two together as i had intend to wear the shirt with my shorts.

P1014273

What kind of thing do you wear to an interview?
Check out the other ladies and there take on interview wear

Spotty Hearts

Trousers and me are becoming friends, I'm now the proud owner of 3 pairs and for someone that for so long owned non i think this is great!
For a long time I've lusted after a pair of trousers on Simply Be a cute spot and heart print pair but i couldn't decide and when i did i could no longer find them. I had another look today and they are here if you fancy a pair.

Then last week i was checking twitter and saw that Kirsty was selling some of her clothes and there they were i bought them pretty much straight away and then crossed my fingers that they would fit.
They came on Thursday and i was so gear to wear them that i wore them yesterday to work.

P1014163

This was a pic from when i got in i wore them with flat pumps to work and my Primark cami and Tesco cardigan. The trousers are a size 24 and made from a silky material with no stretch, although these are a little big in the waist i know the 22 would have been too small when i bent over.

P1014152

When i got home i added some heels and my new bag to show you, I'm in love with my new bag its a cat! I saw a similar bag on Tumblr earlier in the week and knew i had to made it mine after some searching i found this one on eBay and bought it straight away.

P1014159

I love these trousers and I'm so glad i got a second chance to buy them they are really comfy and super cute.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend I'm off out shopping today with Lolly and Lisa hopefully it will just be window shopping as i have a new tattoo to save for, i won't get it done till June but as soon as i have you will be the first to see it :)

A worthy cause

A while ago the lovely Chloe of Life's Big Canvas started up an indiegogo project to raise funds to make one of her cat sketches into a necklace.

There were several different contributions you could give to help Chloe get to her goal and depending on what you were able to give she was kind enough to give you a perk.
I really loved the design and couldn't wait for it to be made into a necklace so i was more than happy to contribute and the perk for me was that i would get a finished necklace.
Chloe met her goal and the necklaces where sent out last week along with a very sweet thank you card!
Here is the necklace i love it so much.

How cute is the necklace ?! Its the perfect length for me and i can see me wearing it with everything!
If you want to get your hands on one of these beauties click here yours for £12.
Chloe has tweeted a sneak peek of her next design and i for one can't wait to get my hands on one!
You can see Chloe's next design here.

Dressed Up To The Nine (lives)

Last week the lovely Louise from Polka Spots And Freckle Dots joined twitter we had been chatting and she had tweeted that she was planning to post about the Ax Paris cat print dress. I had been tidying out my wardrobe recently and noticed that my dress still had the tags on, so i needed to wear it. I suggested that we do a joint post to show you all how we both styled it.

I love Louise's blog and she has a wardrobe i am envious of, lots of pretty dresses with some amazing prints and patterns !
I bought this dress months ago when it first came out and i think i paid about £30 but to be honest i can't remember exactly. I really love the print and the dress itself but i got all panicky that i would ruin it if i ever wore it so its just been sitting pretty in my wardrobe.

P1013836

I wore the dress with a Asda cardigan that I've had for a while, some Irregular Choice shoes and Tesco tights.
P1013841

I bought this dress in a 24 as i needed to size up for the top to fit comfortably because of this the waist is a little big on the dress but its still very pretty and i would prefer the waist to be a little big than not be able to breathe because the top was too tight.

P1013847

The dress is now out of stock on the website but i do hope they bring another version back this summer maybe with a different animal print on.
The dress has a silky feel to it and it lined so i won't be going see through in the sun, and it has a lovely flare to the skirt that makes it perfect for twirling.
Thats my take on the dress now pop over and see how Louise styled hers Louise's Blog.

Do you keep things for best out of an irrational fear of spoiling them like me?

Stop spending October week 4

This week was really easy up until the point i went to the Simply Be store opening. I was surrounded by temptation, very pretty lovely temptation. So before i tried anything on i was half way to breaking, i did go into the changing rooms several times to try different bits on and i fell in love with two pieces.
They were the cat print Ax Paris shirt which was £25 and the print dress for £47.

I knew i had my get out of jail free card left as I'd not used it in previous weeks, but i only wanted to get one,it was a hard choice but i loved the dress the most so that's the one that i bought. I really loved the way it felt on and the print is so different to anything else in my wardrobe.

I'm still classing this week as a victory as before the challenge i would have bought both without a second thought. So although i spent £47 i saved myself £25.
How has the week been for you if you doing the challenge?
XOXO

Chain reaction

Today was the longest day at work ever but i came home to every girls dream,  a one off piece made just for me. For this i have to thank Chloe from lifes big canvas she makes the most amazing hand made jewellery. If you haven't heard of her or seen any of her pieces then take a look, i guarantee you will find something that you like. So back to my amazing parcel that was waiting for me when i got home. When i went to plus north last weekend a lot of people asked about my glasses chain including Chloe herself and after chatting to her i suggested maybe she add glasses chains to her store. As you know i bought a necklace and brooch from her stall at plus north so i knew if she did decide to make them they would be amazing. I suggested a few styles that i would like to see and Chloe very kindly offered to make me a chain to test. Here is the finished result,
The chain came in a cute little bag

The chain on my glasses

Me wearing it
Please excuse my crazy hair I've been at work and had just put my lounging dress on before opening my post.
The chain itself is plenty long enough to hold the glasses at chest height when you have them off and can be easily taken on and off. You attach the chain via the clear plastic loops you can see in the second picture. I love cats so this glasses chain couldn't be more me! I can see that i will get a lot of wear out of this and i will defiantly be buying more. Chloe only makes a few of each piece so no matter what you buy you know that your getting something that your not going to see on everyone. I like to be individual so this really is a plus point for me.
The glasses chains will range from £7-£12 depending on the design which is a great price, they would make a great stocking filler or just as a little gift for someone special.
So you can go to Chloe's website lifes big canvas to buy her lovely jewellery or if you want a glasses chain they are not on her store yet so contact her via twitter @peskychloe
So all in all i really cannot fault this glasses chain it gets the thumbs up from me !

I hope your all having a great weekend, have you got any plans?
Thank you for reading
