Sale Bargains

I hope you are all well and enjoyed any time off you might have had over the last week. I thought today i would share with you my sale bargains. Now i did want to go to Meadowhall to check out the sales but i didn't fancy getting trampled on so i stuck with my local shopping centre. I was really pleased with my sale bargains so here they are, i haven't been able to get any actual pictures of my haul as the light has been so bad recently!

I went into Matalan not really expecting to come out with anything as i find it very hit and miss but i was pleasantly surprised with my finds.

I picked this floral scuba blazer up in a 20 and didn't actually realise it was in the sale until i got to the till. The size 20 was a good fit for me and i really like the fact it doesn't have a turn down collar like you see on most blazers. When i got to the till this was down in the sale to £12.50 what a bargain! Unfortunately this is no longer on the website but they did have quite a few in store so you might want to check there.

I also managed to get a velvet pencil skirt which i have been wanting for ages. I nearly missed this as i was looking for a skater skirt and when i didn't find one i went back around the sale section a second time and just as i was going to the tills i spotted it. This was a steal at £4, again it is no longer showing online but you might find it at your local Matalan.

I popped into Boots as i always like to see what gift sets are left at half price and as you will see quite a few took my eye.

Now i may have mentioned before that i have a bit of a thing for cheap perfume that smells like sweets. I wear it for work because i like to save my more expensive perfume for going out and i like to smell like a sweet shop. This was only £4.50 and you got 3 small bags of Jelly Beans and 6 roller ball perfumes, which all smell lovely and are the perfect size for your bag.

Next up was a So... gift set i picked up for £5 this smells really nice and fresh, you get a large and small bottle of So.. Sexy but both are perfect for you bag, you also go a lovely lipstick which is a good shade for work not too in your face.

Lastly i got some mini big brand perfumes, i hadn't even smelt any of them before but for £9 i though i would give them a go. I've already picked out my favourite, it has to be the Mochino pink bouquet. This is no longer online but your local Boots might still have a few left.

The rest of my sale shopping has been done online as the snow came down quite heavy Friday night which meant i didn't make it out shopping on Saturday.

I bought myself two new bras and some knickers from Simply Be, i love the Simply Yours bras so i decided to get the plunge 2 pack to add to my collection.

I also made my first Forever 21 order and bought myself this velvet skater skirt.

Date Night

Last week me and the Mr went out for some dinner as i had been craving Jack Daniels shrimp like you wouldn't believe! Here is what i wore on the night, the Mr took some pictures just before we left but because the sun was so low you can only make out my face in them so i recreated my outfit for you.

This top is amazing i love it so much! Its from New Look Inspire and doesn't seem to be online anymore but you could always try in store if you have an inspire section. I added my new Primark skirt which was a total bargain at £5!

I was after a body con style midi skirt for a while but i couldn't seem to find the right one at the right price so when i spotted this in a size 20 in Primark i was very happy. As you can see the skirt is tight and the top is a short crop top style so my VBO is out on show, but that doesn't bother me at all i look super cute.

I finished off my outfit with my bone in my top knot and off we went for food. I had a lovely evening and even had my first ever long island iced tea, which was strong but very nice. And here is the Mr sticking his tongue out at me when i tried to take his picture, isn't he the cutest?!

I totally adore this outfit, i felt really comfy and cute in it and already can't war to wear it again!

A Match Made In Heaven

Sorry its been so quiet here for the past few weeks I've been busy at work and the days I've had off seem to have gone in a flash but i do have an outfit for you all today. I hope you've all had a great few days off work and a nice Xmas if you celebrate. A few weeks ago now I went to the Tshirt Store opening, here is what i wore to that and for food with the hubby!

So here is what I wore, this is a top and skirt from Clements Ribeiro for Evans but I wore them together as I think they look great as one! I found these both on the generous side when I tried them on so the top and skirt are both a 20. I love the skirt and top they are made from a thin jersey so have stretch in them and the print is an amazing glove print!

I really love the length of the sleeves on the top but as it was freezing when we went out so I added my biker jacket from New Look inspire. The jacket is a size 22 and is now in the sale, i love it its really comfy and warm and it added a bit of edge to a pretty girly outfit.

I added my Irregular Choice scotty dog flats and i wore my hair in a bow this was like the 2nd ever time I'd done it so i was pretty pleased!

I'm back at work tomorrow (bonus prize if you can come rescue me!) then off for the New Year do you have any plans ?

Peplum Love

Just a quick ootd today. Now I know peplums are a bit marmite aren't they but I love them! A few weeks ago when we went shopping to Doncaster I picked up this peplum top in the New Look sale.It was only £4 so a total bargain and I wore it to work last week with my Dorothy Perkins leopard print skirt.

The top is a 24 and maybe a little big but for £4 I'm not complaining. It's made from a jersey material so you don't need to size up. The skirt is a 20 from Dorothy Perkins and now it's been worn a few times it's lost some of it's tightness so I would advise to size down in the skirt so it keeps the body con style.

I think the peplum with the pencil skirt goes really well and I'll definitely be rocking this top with shorts too.

I'm well and truly a peplum girl how about you?

The Jumper of Dreams

A few months ago I went to the blogger takeover for Simply Be and I fell in love with this jumper. What was not to love?! It's eyelash knit,super soft, it has bobbles and the cutest crochet collar ever! I swear I had dreams about this jumper!

Then at plus north over at the Simply Be area i fell in love with a few pieces so of course as soon as i got home on Sunday i ordered them, and a couldn't forget about the jumper of dreams so into my basket that went too.

I ordered a size 24/26 as I wanted a looser snugly fit, your usual size will fit but if you prefer a looser look like I have I'd advise to size up. The jumper is a lovely cream/white colour so I'm hoping that i don't spill anything down it because if i do there is a chance i could cry :)

I decided to wear it with my Dorothy Perkins leopard print skirt which i got in a size 20 and it was a perfect combination. I think the red goes really well with the jumper too.

This jumper is perfect for the chillier weather and it's so cute too! I have a huge soft spot for eyelash knit and this jumper is one of the cutest I've seen. I can't wait to pair this jumper with some thick tights and a cute pair of shorts. 

Now the warmer weather finally seems to have left for the year I'm sure I will get lots of wear out of this jumper!

Stand Out From The Crowd

This time for the omcz post it was my turn to choose the theme so i went for standing out from the crowd. However each wanted to interpret it was up to them, whether it was bright clothes, flesh out and proud or breaking a fashion rule etc.

Now i stand out from the crowd most of the time, but i like that,being different shouldn't make you want to blend in it should make you want to stand out more. That's the way i see it anyway i like to be visible and if someone has an issue with that then they have two choices really and one of them ends in off :)

So although I'm wearing all black which is pretty unusual for me, i still stand out a lot. I have bright purple hair, i have visible tattoos and fat and I'm breaking the 'don't show your boobs and legs' rule in a very sheer top. Do you know what? I felt absolutely amazing i think i looked great and I'd wear this everyday if i could.

I wore this out for my impromptu night of dancing I'd bought the skirt and top from  New Look that day and changed into it from the dress I'd been wearing during the day. It was perfect for dancing in, although the skirt might be a bit short for some peoples tastes but not mine!

The skirt was only £8.99 and i got a size 22, its a stretchy material so you don't need to size up, the top was £17.99 and a size 26. The lovely Lisa had taken it into the changing rooms but didn't want it so i tried it on and fell in love, the neck line detail is beautiful.

If you want to stand out then do it, never worry about what someone else thinks you're the only one that actually counts :)

Day 6- something out of your comfort zone

I always wear dresses or playsuits something about separates just doesn't click with me. However I love this outfit, the skirt is from Dorothy Perkins years ago and the cat jumper is from asos curve again ages ago. I think I love this because it's cats and polka dots, my favourites! I always see tops and skirts that I like but I don't buy them because I know I'll never wear them. I love to see how other people put them together but apart from this outfit I never feel comfortable.
