Casual To Keep Cool

Its been so warm recently i haven't been able to cool down and when I've been going out I've pretty much lived in my leopard print maxi but today i decided to wear something different.

Its no secret I'm not a summer girl as you can see by my red face and messy hair i don't look my best flustered! I wore my Primark Hello Kitty top which is a size 20 and was from the pyjama section for about £5. I love Hello Kitty so I'm not letting the fact something didn't come from the main section stop me wearing it!

I wore the top with my new-ish Evans knee shorts, i bought these at the same time as the cropped jeans and i love them just as much. They are a size 24 and a great, comfortable fit for me. They are online here but only in a 30 and 32 at the minute but there was loads in store so you could always try your local store if you have one. They were £18 which i think is a really reasonable price.

This outfit is perfect for relaxing in and it did keep me pretty cool although i wouldn't say no to a bit of air con! 

Evans will definitely be the first place i go to look at jeans in the future as i don't have a bad thing to say about these or the cropped jeans i blogged about here.

I Can't Believe It!

I actually now own a pair of jeans! I got these recently from Evans (before the spending ban) I took a 22 and a 24 into the changing rooms and decided the 24 was the best fit for me.

They are stretchy fabric and finish a few inches above my ankle, I have never found jeans before that were comfy and that I wanted to wear but I love these! I surprised myself hen i put them on and loved how they looked.

They are quite high waisted so sit really well and I wasn't pulling them up all the time either like i used to have to do with the jeans i wore years ago. I decided to wear these with my Asda t-shirt which you have seen a few times before now.

The jeans were £19.50 which I think is pretty reasonable and are available online here if you fancy a pair. They are great quality and didn't go baggy around the thighs or knees which sometimes happens.

I can see me getting lots of wear out of these jeans and now I finally have something that i feel dressed down it and that will be perfect for trips to the zoo or a walk around the dam.

More Shorts

It's time again for a OMCZ challenge an this fortnights was shorts, now they aren't out of my comfort zone as I'm sure many of you know i love them!

I have quite a number of shorts that i could show you but i decided to go with the pair i got with my ASOS order last week. I really love them and although part of me wanted to wait until they were in the sale i didn't want to mis out on then if they sold out.

I got the shorts in a size 24 and they fit will a bit of room, there isn't any stretch to them so i did order a 24 and 26 and i didn't want to buy one and be disappointed i couldn't wear them if they were the wrong size.

I love the two tone denim of the shorts its different to any of the others i have and they are really soft and comfortable. They are online here for £30, I'm loving all the shorts that ASOS have in stock at the minute, its really not helping my obsession!

I wore the shorts with a Primark top which is a size 18-20 from the nightwear section, but I'm wearing it out as i love it and don't think it looks like a top you would sleep in. I added some Irregular Choice pumps which my mum got me a few christmas's ago and some nude tights so they didn't rub.

I love the top so much and its so true of me, there are plenty of days i'd like to switch places with my cats!

Old Friends

This is an outfit i wore to go and see one of oldest friends Lauren, we have been friends for so long and even if we go a while without speaking when we get together its like we only saw each other yesterday.
We are really different in our fashion choices and i love to see her raised eyebrows when i wear something a little out of the ordinary so i decided for this visit to wear my new or should i say old shorts.

I got these shorts from ebay they were customised from a old pair of mens levis, as soon as i saw the rips and colour i knew i had to have them.

I had them in my watch list for ages before i decided i couldn't wait any longer and bought them and I'm so glad i did i love them!

I wore them with my New Look cardigan and my chubby guys T-shirt, the shorts were really comfy and it was a perfect outfit to wear to spend the day chatting with an old friend and eating pizza :)

I seem to have a bit of thing going on for shorts and i can't see that going away anytime soon so expect to see much more of my legs over the next few months especially when i have my thigh tattoo in a few weeks! Once I've had it done I'll post it for you all to see.

Double Denim Delight

Last Saturday i met up with the lovely ladies Lisa and Lolly for a spot of shopping it was a great day as always and i did pick up some great bits from New Look including a great sleeveless denim shirt.
Lisa also bought the shirt too so we decided to do a joint post for you.

I got the shirt in a size 24 and the fit is perfect with a bit of room i love it so much! Its still available online  here and it was only £16.99 which i think is a great price.

I wore this on Sunday as i really wanted to wear is straight away, i kept my face simple no make up except a pale lippy and i just quickly tied my hair up. It was perfect for a quick Sunday lunch out.

I wore the shirt tucked into my H&M+ shorts which I've had since last summer and my Primark pumps.

It was a really comfy outfit and i loved how it looked in fact i think I'll just wear it every day if that's ok with you all :)

I wanted a denim shirt for ages so thank to Lisa for picking it up and drawing my attention to it.

90's vibe

I went shopping on good Friday with my hubby to Doncaster i had been back in January with the girls and found lots of great shops and sales so i thought I'd try my luck again. It didn't disappoint!
I popped into New Look and found 2 pairs of shorts in the sale in a size 24 so i quickly hurried to the changing room to try them on.
Here is one pair i got for £9 in the sale in a size 24. I real love these shorts and they remind me of the coloured jeans you used to see in the 90's.

These shorts are stretch denim with one button and zip to fasten them, they are really comfy too.

I wore these the day after i bought them to go and see my mum as i couldn't wait to get them on.

I paired the shorts with my sheer shirt which i got from the fat swap and a Primark cami underneath. It was windy out so i wore my New Look cardigan and Tesco tights to keep me warm. I adore these shorts and can't wait till the weather gets better so i can wear them all them time.

I'm so in love with shorts at the minute i actually now have 7 pairs and one on its way to me! If your lucky enough to be off work today i hope you have a fabulous bank holiday :)

Pink On Tap

The lovely Rachel contacted me to ask if i wanted to get involved with the out of my comfort zone challenge and i decided to give it a go.

The outfit needed to involve tights or leggings along with pink and stripes so here what i came up with.

The tights are from Yours and they are 100 denier which is what you need for this cold weather we've been having! The shirt is also from Yours, size 24 and you have seen it in a previous post here. The shorts are from New Look size 22 and you have seen these in quite a few posts recently i love them! The earrings are from Primark and the only bit of stripes that i could find.

I decided to go make up free in this post as i don't always wear it although i feel a bit naked without lipstick!

Super cute Strawberries

When i was sent some images of the new pieces at Curvissa by the lovely Lizzie from Freshwater PR this vest jumped out at me straight away. The print is so cute and i knew just what it would go perfectly with, my new short shorts!

I wore this to go for Rebecca's birthday lunch with lots of other lovely people and it was really comfy, although I'm not sure how weather appropriate it was as it was pretty cold and rainy outside but i thought it looked so cute once it was on, i wasn't changing.

I was sent the strawberry print vest in a size 22 and the fit is perfect, the material has a little stretch to it and is a lovely soft cotton. This will be a great little vest to wear during warm summers days and the print makes it stand out from the plain vests that you see everywhere during the warmer months. The vest is available in sizes 14-32 for £14 which is a great price for a cute 100% cotton vest.

I wore the vest with my New Look shorts in a size 22, Primark headscarf, thick tights and my gorgeous Curvissa leopard print cardigan in a 18/20. You can see my previous post on the cardigan here.

I really love this whole outfit I'm so happy it came together just as I'd imagined.

Fat swap ootd

So i said I'd do a post on my outfit from the fat swap but I've only just gotten around to it. I'd bought myself some short shorts and couldn't wait to wear them so they have their fist outing at the swap.
My lovely hubby ordered me a t-shirt that i wanted to go with them but it came after I'd left for the swap so i went with this outfit.

You can just about see the bottom or the shorts, they are from New Look i got them in a size 22 and the cost £14.99. they are made from a stretch denim so get your usual size, depending on your shape you may be able to size down. They are still available online here if you fancy a pair.

I wore them with my leopard print shirt from Evans ages ago in size 22, my primark headscarf, tights in size 3 from Yours and my New Look cardigan size 22. The shorts are really comfy to wear and sit high waisted and do stay in the right place most of the time although i did have to re adjust a few times!
