A Little Later Than Expected

Today's post is my fatshionologie post it should have been up over the weekend but i wasn't very well so here it is for you today a little later than expected but just as lovely.

This months theme was polksdots, i didn't have any idea what i was going to wear but when i opened up my wardrobe i spotted this in the polkadot section (yes i organise my wardrobes in prints). I got this dress at the second fat swap and it was brought by the lovely Rebecca. 

The dress is from Joanna Hope and has a slip underneath the dress so your not showing your underwear to everyone! Its such a beautiful dress and its really lovely to wear,

The dress has a cute ruffle detail down the front and fastens with buttons, i left the top few undone for a more open neck, and a tie belt to give a more defined waist.

I decided to keep this outfit simple with some faux pearl earrings from primark and my leopard cat ears hat which my mum got me at Christmas.

This dress is the most perfect summer dress its so light and floaty, great for keeping cool! Thank you so much to Rebecca for bringing it to the swap, it has a happy new home :)

Workwear Chic

This months fatshionologie was what would you wear for a work meeting or interview. Now I'll be honest I've only ever been for a handful of interviews in my working life, i have worked in my current job for nearly 9 years so this is what i would wear if i was told i had an interview tomorrow. I think it shows I'm unique and not afraid to stand out.

I'm wearing the Simply Be trousers i blogged about here which are a dream to wear and a shirt i picked up a few weeks ago from New Look i got it in a size 24 so that it would fasten over my chest (you don't want to be flashing during an interview! )

I added some Irregular Choice heels and a cat brooch to the collar and I'm ready to be hired :)

I love this shirt with the trousers and until the challenge i wouldn't have thought to put the two together as i had intend to wear the shirt with my shorts.

Fatshionologie

This month theme was "a day at the races" i decided to do something a little different as the races aren't really my thing so i thought i would pay homage to the horses.

It was a great excuse to get out my Simply Be playsuit which i bought a while ago but was yet to wear.

The playsuit is Ruby Rocks and is still available on the Simply Be Website for £55 i got mine while a sale was on so i think in the end i paid about £40 for it.

I sized up to a 24 but i didn't need to the playsuit is made from a thick stretch jersey so your usual size should be fine. I love the horse print and the relaxed fit of it and i can't wait till i can wear it out in the sun.

The playsuit also has pockets which i love, and you can just step into it so no fiddly zips or buttons to worry about. I wore this with black tights and some Primark pumps for a relaxed look. I really love this playsuit its super comfy and who doesn't love a good print?!

Fatshionologie

This months Fatshionolgie theme is floral, this is the third month of the challenge you can see the previous two here and here.

Here a little re-cap on what Fatshionolgie is,
Fatshionologie is a blogger style challenge born out of a discussion on twitter in hopes it would help to create a new exciting content for out blogs as well as show that each new style "theme" can be rocked by a variety of different body shapes!
Here is my take on floral.

I had planned to wear something different for the floral theme but i wore this dress to work one day and decided it would be perfect.

This dress was an eBay bargain at £4.99 ! It was originally from Asda and is a size 24. When i saw it on eBay i knew i had to have it, i developed a bit of a maxi dress obsession last year and this was the perfect addition to my collection.

I wore the dress with my Tesco cardigan and some Primark flats which you can't see. I really love this dress its super comfy and i love how bright and colourful it is and i think its perfect fro the floral theme.

Fatshionologie

This is the second of the Fatshionologie post if you missed the first one or want to know what its all about then have a read here. Our theme this month is a bargain outfit, so something that cost under £15 or re working something from your existing wardrobe.

As you might know i went to my second fat swap on Saturday, it was amazing and i got some beautiful  clothes. So what better to choose as my bargain outfit that one that didn't cost me anything! 

This dress was brought my the lovely Mel and I'm over the moon that she did, its so beautiful! I tried it on, looked in the mirror and fell in love (there may have been a happy dance too).

The dress is so beautiful the top part is a sheer and velvet mix that feels so soft and the skirt part is beautifully pleated, unfortunately i couldn't get the camera to pick this up. Mel got the dress from Red Bows Boutique at the last Plus London, but it was too big for her so I'm the lucky lady that got to give it a new home. It will be loved and cherished and it will probably be taken out of the wardrobe just to be looked at because if you haven't guessed it already I'm in love!

I wore the dress with my Asos pearl cat ears headband and my Irregular Choice scotty dog shoes which i have had for a years or so, i also added a belt which i got with another dress. 

I love everything about this dress and I'm so thankful to Mel for bringing it so thank you again!
