Outfit Favourites from 2014

I wanted to share with you my favourite outfits from 2014 so here they are in no particular order,
I wore this outfit at Leeds Pride and i loved everything about it, the clashing prints and of course the shorts!

This was a dress i wore for Lisa's birthday in Blackpool i spent the night dancing away in it and loved every minute.

This was a cheap and cheerful outfit that made me feel amazing. I love the boxy cut of the top with the tube skirt.

I remember the day i found these on Fashion World i was the happiest girl alive. Plus size dungarees! need i say more.

This picture is actually making me miss the purple hair a little. I wore this outfit a lots last year including a very cold wet night out with Lisa.

Because its true i do love them! Also these Claire Richards jeans are the most amazing jeans I've ever worn.

This is a bit of a blurry one but i loved this dress so much i had to include it.

Having never been a fan of swing style i remember trying this on in Simply Be and falling in love, it was the perfect addition to summer.

This is the underwear i modelled at Plus North, i had a great day and met some amazing people and this was my favourite outfit of Plus North.

This was one of those outfits i just threw together but ending up really loving. The dress was so beautiful and this denim jacket is perfection.

So those were my ten favourite outfits from 2014 they all have amazing memories attached. So here's to another year!

Cocktails and Catch Ups

I met Lisa on Saturday for a browse around Meadowhall and a bit of a trying on session, i hadn't intended to buy much i just wanted some hair dye, as I'm sure you've all noticed my roots are bad and a black jersey midi skirt that didn't cost the earth. Ive seen some great ones but don't really want to spend £30 or so on it.
So what did i come away with ? I did get my hair dye and another tube of the amazing Bleach London hair mask, although i almost forgot it, i really should write a list! I also picked up these cute rings from H&M in the sale for £4.

Me and Lisa tried on a few things in New Look, although i didn't find anything that i loved so i didn't buy anything. How cute are me and Lisa as twinsies?!

I did strike it lucky in Primark though i got a jersey midi pencil skirt for £5 and the cutest acid wash pencil skirt for £7 along with the best tshirt ever its perfect.

Next up we went to Evans where i tried a few pieces on i did take some pictures but they didn't turn out that well apart from this one. This dress is from Scarlett & Jo and it was great fitting and even has shoulder pads. It was out of my budget for this shopping trip but hopefully i can get it another time.

Finally we finished the day off in TGI Fridays for a cocktail or four. The cocktails were so nice and the barman even made us one based on exactly what we liked in our drinks. Here are a few pictures of some of our drinks.

As always i had the best time with Lisa and i can't wait till we have our next night out I'm practising my dance moves as we speak ;)

Perfect Purple

Last week I was contacted by the lovelies at Scarlett & Jo and asked if I wanted to review a dress for them. I love Scarlett & Jo and have quite a few pieces already in my wardrobe so I happily accepted. The dress came yesterday which was my birthday so it was like getting another present!

I was sent this dipped hem dress in purple in a size 22 which I have to say is a perfect fit for me. If you have a smaller bust though then I would suggest to size down. The dress is made from a stretch jersey and is quite thick so great for the current weather. It also has 3/4 sleeves for some added warmth in the winter and means you don't need to wear it with a cardigan when it does get a little warmer.

It has a tie which I have brought round the front and tied at the back but if you wanted a looser look then you could just tie this at the back. I have a feeling this dress would be amazing for twirling in as it has a lot of volume.

The dress is knee length on me but the dipped hems at the side are longer around mid calf on me. I have never owned a dress in this style and it isn't one that i would have picked out but I really love how it looks on and I think the hem line looks so cute.

I kept the dress simple without any accessories but I did add my irregular choice tape measure kitten keels to finish the outfit off. Thank you to Scarlett & Jo for coming up with another winner for my wardrobe!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all i hope that you had a great night last night whatever you were doing, I thought i would start the year off with the most amazing dress ever!
I first saw this dress at Plus North when Becky modelled it for Scarlett & Jo and since then i was in love, as soon as it came out i knew i had to have it.

I got this in a size 20 as i wanted it to be really fitted, the 20 is perfect and fits like a glove. The dress is so amazing, the mesh sleeves and neckline show some skin so your not 100% covered up. And the velvet is so soft to the touch i just want to wear this dress everyday.

There is also a thigh high split down one side which shows off some leg without wearing a short dress. I'm 5 4'' and this dress is floor length on me without dragging. If i had to pick one dress from my wardrobe that would make me feel like a million dollars it would most definitely would be this one!

This dress ha sold out in a lot of sizes on the Evans website but keep checking as there might be a few returns after the new year. 

I had some amazing opportunities in 2013 and met some of the most amazing people and if it wasn't for this blog i wouldn't have had the chance, so i just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who reads and comments on the blog and to everyone who has supported me.

Scarlett & Jo Christmas Collection

As you know since Plus North I've done nothing but harp on about how much i need a certain velvet maxi dress in my life, but wasn't sure how much it would be or when to would be out, well last week i got an email from the lovely team at Scarlett & Jo and they included the christmas lookbook. I decided i couldn't keep it to myself so i wanted to share with you a few of my favourite bits.

 Here it is… such a thing of beauty! I need this dress its truly amazing, and for £65 i think its a great price. I cannot wait till this comes out and i can wear it everywhere. Becky rocked it at Plus North and since then i have done nothing but pine for it! I'm sure this will be really popular so make sure you leave a 22 for me please :)

What A Girl Wants

I haven't done a wish list style post in a while and there are always so many things that i want so i thought i'd share a few with you.

Simply Be

As soon as i spotted this dress in the Simply Be catalogue i knew i had to have it, its perfect, i just need to decide which colour! Or i might get both!

I'm a bit in love with this blouse too, i love the pocket detail.

Topsy Curvy

So this one isn't clothing but i couldn't not mention it, the girls from Topsy Curvy and some of their customers have done a calendar to support Macmillan Cancer support. 

I love this crochet and denim look dress, its super cute!

Irregular Choice

I love both of these bags but they are sadly out of my price range at the minute but you can get them here and here if any of you fancy treating me ;)

Plus North Part 3

Following on from parts 1 and 2 today is the last part of my Plus North post. It was such a great time and i wish that it happened every weekend!
So part 3 is all about the after party, I was really lucky and i was asked to model for Scarlett & Jo and it was an amazing experience. While Lisa and Laura went back to the hotel to change i went off to get my hair and make-up done for the night time fashion show. I had my hair and make up done by the loveliest girl ever she was so nice and i really loved what she did with my hair and make up!

There was quite a few of us getting hair and make up done and we all had a ball, the thing i love about plus north is that your never alone, everyone is always so friendly and you end up talking to people like you have known them for years!

I was given 2 outfits to wear by Scarlett & Jo a lovely black and white dress which mirrored the lovely Kathryn's and we opened the show walking down the catwalk together, i couldn't have asked for a nicer model partner.

My second outfit was the most gorgeous maxi dress ever, in a beautiful blue with amazing embellishments on the shoulders.

I loved all the clothes that Scarlett & Jo had to show on the catwalk and i now have a list as long as my arm of pieces i need to buy!

We were given a goodie bag from the lovely Scarlett & Jo team which was so nice of them and it included a amazing "fatshion" necklace. I literally gasped when i saw it, i love it so much!

I want to say a massive thank you to Scarlett & Jo for letting my strut my stuff i had a blast!

Once the catwalk was over it was time for me to do a quick change into my night outfit and get my dancing head on, and boy was it on!

I wore my Asos bodysuit and my New Look body con mini skirt and i added flat animal print shoes as knew i'd be doing a lot of dancing. I also wore my Twisted Siren ring which i bought during the day ay Plus North.

There was karaoke at the night and plenty of opportunity to dance your socks off! I had a great time dancing with all the ladies and shaking my thing, i can't dance but hey i like to! There was lot of ladies getting on the karaoke and belting out the tunes :) including the lovely Gemma who did an amazing bit of Kate Bush!

It was really nice to see everyone having fun and letting their hair down and there are some great videos on instagram of everyone having fun and letting loose, check out the #plusnorth hashtag.

Once the after party ended a few of us went out for an after after party where more drinks and dancing was done.
