Denim Kisses

This is an outfit i wore a while ago but never got around to posting it as I've been pretty busy. I wore it to have a little nosey around Meadowhall with the Mr.

P6295841

I was going through my wardrobe and spotted this denim shirt I've had for ages and decided i wanted to wear that and after a brief look over the floordrobe i decided to pair it with my lip print skirt. The shirt was from New Look last summer so its no longer online but you could always try ebay.

P6295843

The skirt in another fab buy from Simply Be and its so easy to wear, it can easily be dressed up or kept casual. I went for a size 22 in this skirt and i think i could have sized down as when i walk around its a bit loose and it keeps spinning around me so the split on the back ends up at the front.

Before i bought this shirt i would have never have thought that I'd own a denim shirt, i really disliked them but after trying it on i was in love and now i have a few more too!

Date Night

Last week me and the Mr went out for some dinner as i had been craving Jack Daniels shrimp like you wouldn't believe! Here is what i wore on the night, the Mr took some pictures just before we left but because the sun was so low you can only make out my face in them so i recreated my outfit for you.

P4275699

This top is amazing i love it so much! Its from New Look Inspire and doesn't seem to be online anymore but you could always try in store if you have an inspire section. I added my new Primark skirt which was a total bargain at £5!

P4275705

I was after a body con style midi skirt for a while but i couldn't seem to find the right one at the right price so when i spotted this in a size 20 in Primark i was very happy. As you can see the skirt is tight and the top is a short crop top style so my VBO is out on show, but that doesn't bother me at all i look super cute.

P4275703

I finished off my outfit with my bone in my top knot and off we went for food. I had a lovely evening and even had my first ever long island iced tea, which was strong but very nice. And here is the Mr sticking his tongue out at me when i tried to take his picture, isn't he the cutest?!

I totally adore this outfit, i felt really comfy and cute in it and already can't war to wear it again!

Excite Clothing

While I was at plus north I spotted a few dresses from Excite Clothing that made my heart jump. I ordered 2 dresses on the Sunday night and they came on Tuesday now that's fast delivery!
The first was the animal print midi dress, I loved this and the £12.99 price tag made me love it even more! The dress is available in 8 prints online here.

P1014840

I got both dresses in a 22/24 and I found the animal print one to be a little big after I had worn it for work all day but I hope it will re shape once I've washed it. The material of the dress is quite thin so it will work for summer and winter, as it was chilly I wore this to work with my thick cardigan. As it gets colder I will probably add my faux fur and winter boots.

P1014841

Now the dress I really loved and wanted to put on as soon as I saw it was this neon animal print midi. This is the same size as the plain animal print but the fit is perfect as it has slightly thicker material and it didn't stretch after a days wear.

P1014849

Out of the 2 dresses this is my favourite I love the attention grabbing print and the super bright colours! This dress certainly makes you stand out from the crowd and you all know how i like to do that.

I think everyone should own this dress it's perfect and it made me feel amazing :)
If you haven't checked out Excite Clothing before now what are you waiting for?! Get over there and get yourself a bargain.

Go to Garments

With fashion trends constantly changing, fading and re-emerging on both the catwalks and the high street, it can often be difficult to keep up with latest looks. Moreover, as these trends can often be tailored to specific shapes and sizes, from plus size clothing UK trends to tall or petite looks of the season, it can be a struggle to know what will work for your own body shape.
Fear not, as there are some must-have-items of the year which are here to stay, and, more importantly, look fabulous on every figure. Read on for a quick guide to the best go-to garments which work for every shape, and should definitely be a staple in every woman’s wardrobe this year.
The Blazer
The blazer is an absolute must-have for every occasion. From oversized boyfriend blazers and androgynous tuxedo styles to cute, cropped jackets, the blazer is a versatile buy which works for every shape, every season and every outfit. If you’re dressing for an evening out and you want to show off your curves, then why not go for a cropped black blazer with a pencil skirt and some platforms? The cropped look will help to create a gorgeous silhouette and make you look confident and glamorous as you nail the pencil trend as well. Alternatively, if you’re a petite woman, for spring you could try an oversized white blazer with a pair of linen shorts, a chiffon shirt and a pair of wedged heels. This look will elongate your legs and make you look taller, while creating a sophisticated, fresh look for the season.
The Midi
The midi dress is a great garment which can be done in a range of ways. If you don’t feel confident in a maxi or a mini dress, the midi is the perfect alternative as the length works to complement height as well as body shape. For an effortless, elegant look, try a straight shift style which brushes down to the calves and pair with some court shoes to lengthen the legs by making the ankles look shapely. Alternatively, a skater style midi dress will create a gorgeous womanly form by cinching in the waist and emphasising the hips with the contours of the skirt. You can also try different necklines to suit your bodice shape. For example, turtle-necks will look chic without over-emphasising your top half while deep v-necks and a supportive bra will work wonders for your cleavage.
The Peplum
The peplum trend has made a name for itself with its flexibility and femininity. Perfect for the office, a light lunch, an evening dinner out and even a day spent running errands. The shape layers over the stomach or hip areas, depending on the style so if you are conscious of those areas this is the perfect style for you. The forties-inspired style looks great on tops, dresses and skirts, and is a fashion-forward look for every figure.
There you have it: three go-to-garments which work to complement the modern woman and the various shapes and sizes that she comes in. Get trying on now and find out what works for you just in time for spring!
Do you have any go to garments?
XOXO

Floral Midi

As you may have seen from my post on Monday i popped into Tesco at the weekend and I'm sure its not a surprise that i left a dress or two. I bought the maxi you saw on Monday and while i was leaving the clothing section i spotted a dress I'd tried on a few weeks ago but not bought. I picked up my size and checked the tag and it was down to £7 in the sale which made it less that half price!

This will be my first ever midi dress, i really love them but with being quite short i often find that they end up being far too long but this one is perfect.

P1013826

I got this dress is a 22 and it fits true to size, it is made from a jersey material which is quite thin so will be nice for the summer. The dress was £16 full price but i got it in the sale for £7 which is a great bargain.
P1013830

I wore this dress with my new tights which were also from Tesco in a XL (£4 for a pack of 3) and my  Irregular Choice kitten heels. The dress is really comfy to wear and i love the 3/4 sleeves. I couldn't find it online but they had lots in my local store so its worth having a look.

What do you think to my sale bargain?
