Live Fast Die Yum

I have had a few pieces from Black Heart Creatives which i adore so when i saw a tweet from them a few weeks ago asking if anyone wanted to review a piece from the Live fast die yum collection i got in touch. I'm a big fan of food related accessories so i couldn't wait to see the designs and when i finally did i might have let out a small (ok so pretty loud) squeak of excitement.

I was sent Sweet Like Chocolate which is a pretty good match for me as i am quite a chocoholic! I was really impressed when it arrived it looked good enough to eat! Charlotte kindly sent me a discount code too for 25% off which is at the bottom of this post.

P3235596

As always the quality on the necklace is great and the little touches that Black Heart Creatives put into their pieces make them extra special. This necklace really reminds me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the way the foil looks like its been folded back while someone took their fist bite.

The necklace is a really good length for me long enough so i don't feel restricted but not so long that it spends the whole day bouncing from one boob to the other, this always happens to be when i wear a longer chain!

As you can see from this picture i was pretty excited when it came!

I really love Black Heart Creatives they make some amazing pieces from necklaces to brooches and earrings and if you want something unique they will custom make a piece for you too. I already have my eye on my next purchase which will be the Good Burger necklace as anyone who knows me knows how much i love a good burger!
You can use discount code dress25 to get 25% off your order (this code is valid for 1 week)  so what are you waiting for check out the website and find your favourites.

Black Heart Creatives

I wanted to do a little post today on my favourite place to buy laser cut jewellery. I'm sure many of you are familiar with Black Heart Creatives but for those if you who aren't then check out their website here.

The first order I placed with them was for the fat bitch necklace. It took me ages to decide on colour but I finally decided on red and I wasn't disappointed when it came.

This is quite the statement piece and I love it!!
My next order was for a small love heart brooch and necklace saying c*nt now I know some people hate this word my mother included but I love it.
When I came back from Plus North I saw on twitter that they where doing a discount for the weekend so 20 minutes before it expired I placed an order, thankfully it went through and i didn't mis-spell anything, i don't work well under pressure lol! I decided to go for my blog name in purple, I was so excited to see how it would look and when it came a few days later I was in love.

You can have a custom made necklace and choose any design you wish, the necklaces are well made and really great prices too.
I'm ready thinking about my next custom necklace but I also have a soft spot for this cutie!

Do you have a favourite piece or an idea for your own custom piece?

A Statement Piece

I was contacted recently and asked if i wanted to review a statement necklace from Damart, i decided on this one as it was leopard print and you know how much i love a bit of leopard!

The necklace itself is quite simple with the rope design and the large leopard disc but i think it looks great.
I wore it with my Tesco maxi dress which I've had for a while

I think the necklace goes great with the dress, the dress is all black so you often need a bold statement piece to bring it together and make it seem less boring.

P1014557

This is my first big statement necklace that isn't a word necklace and i really love it. It's available online here for £13 if you want to add something extra to your outfit.

I think its great how something can change an outfit and make you feel more put together, I'm definitely  loving the statement necklace!
What do you think ?

Accessorise your way out of the crowd

I really love quirky jewellery i i think it's one of the best ways to stand out from the crowd. I enjoy wearing loud over the top accessories from time to time and i love how they can make an otherwise "safe" outfit more out there.
One of my favourite shops is Life's Big Canvas which is owned by the lovely Chloe. She sells and makes her own jewellery as well as stocking lots of other artists.
She very kindly sent everyone on her email subscription list a £5 gift code which was a very nice surprise. I have been stalking a few things on the site so it didn't take me long to have spent my voucher plus some!
Here's what i bought

P1013733

The first thing i added to my basket was the badger head brooch by Fox Bunting mine for £6.50. It is made from wool and stuffed so he is 3d. Isn't he lovely!?

P1013748

P1013751

The next thing to make its way into my basket was this beautiful necklace

P1013745

The bow is made from a page of a story book but had been treated so it keeps its shape as a bow. I must admit its much larger that i had imaged but that just makes it even better! This was in the sale for £12.50 and I'm really glad i snapped it up.

The last item i added to by basket was this squirrel brooch which i had looked at a few times but when i saw that if you spent over £20 delivery was free i added it in. The brooch was £8 but isn't on the site anymore. It was by Butterscotch and Beestings who's website is here if you wanted to have a look.

P1013755

I really love Life's Big Canvas every time you click onto the site or pop in store there are more fabulous things to look at and buy. It really is like a little cove of treasures.
Here are a few of my favourite pieces

I love the flowers and i think the bronze gives it a old fashioned look available here.

Button cuff available here.
It might not be Christmas but i love this reindeer necklace available here.

Whats you favourite piece from the shop?

A one off

I know some people build an outfit around there shoes or top etc but when i got this necklace i knew i wanted to wear it but i couldn't decide what with. The necklace is beautiful and i wanted it to stand out so i didn't want to wear anything too patterned.

I finally decided on my asos curve peter pan dress and some colourful tights. The dress is from quite a while ago but i have seen them on ebay a few times. Ive worn this dress before in this post, i find it a really easy dress to wear and i think it looks great with coloured tights. The tights are from m&s in a xl and just fit me so if your any bigger or like a bit of room in your tights these aren't for you.

The necklace was from Chloe's shop lifes big canvas I've had lots of bits from there and i love them all. But this is extra special as it's a skunk and i love them!

IMG_3413

He was £8 and came with the silver chain, he's also as far as I'm aware a one off so i won't see anyone else walking around wearing one. Now if only could get a real life skunk to be my friend?!
I hope your having a good week does anyone else love skunks like me ?

Dolly Darling pretties

Since Georgina from cupcakes clothes opened up dolly darling i would go onto the site and have a nosey at all the pretties, and there are lots of them, but until monday id never placed an order. I went on for a look and saw the most amazing deer brooch i knew i had to have it so i placed an order for that and a reindeer necklace. I could have ordered lots more but my bank wouldn't have been very happy! So for now its just those, although after the super fast delivery and lovely service i will definitely be re ordering again in the future. As i said i ordered on monday and by wednesday it was here. Along with my invoice i had been written a nice note to ensure i enjoyed my accessories and a 10% discount code for the next time  ordered, which i thought was a really nice touch. When i opened my package out came my goodies
I really like the design on the card its so cute
The box my brooch came in was tied with hello kitty ribbon
I love hello kitty so this made me smile

Here you can see my rain reindeer  necklace which i love and
yes i do plan to wear it in june!
Georgina also included so little stickers one of which is a
sausage dog.

The deer brooch in the box and below stood up on her own
out of the box isn't it just the best brooch ever?!

I really like the extra touches that have been put in such as the discount code and the extra stickers and the little rabbit which i think might be a rubber. These things may only be small but i think they add a little extra special touch that you wouldn't get from a big company when you place an order.
Overall i am very happy with my purchases and plan to make more in the future. Go and take a look at the website if you haven't before, there are some really cute bits including rings, necklaces and charms.
Now what to wear my brooch with ??
Its friday and it couldn't have come quicker for me i hope you all have a great weekend thank you for reading.
XOXO

Day 22 - A piece of clothing/jewellery that was a gift

I don't really ask people to buy me clothes as a gift as i like to try them on and I'm too impatient to wait for an occasion to be bought a dress that I'm in love with! But i do like to get jewellery as a gift. I wanted to choose two piece for this post.
The first is the necklace my lovely mum bought me for my wedding, for as long as i can remember i wanted a single pearl necklace but always thought they were too expensive to just buy one. I was really happy when my mum gave me the money to buy this for my wedding day. I got it from earnest jones which is not a jewellers i go into usually as it seem, to me a least, quite expensive. I love the necklace but i only wear it on special occasions.

The second piece is my tatty devine name necklace that the hubby bought me along with the ring he got me at the same time. I feel conscious in expensive jewellery always touching it to make sure its still there and being in constant fear of it breaking so I'm much more at home it this type of jewellery, or primark stuff which i love. I love these pieces they are everything that i love, the ring is a cat and if i haven't said already i love them! and the necklace is my favourite colour and has a star on (me and the hubby have matching star tattoos)
Do you prefer to have a few expensive pieces of jewellery or lots of cheap cheerful suff or like me a mix of both?
Whats your favourite gift ?
XOXO
