The One That Never Was

Hello there you lovely lot how are we all? I'm working extra hours at work so I'm super busy and this means when i get in from work there is no light left to take outfit pics so today is a post of an outfit i wore many months ago but for some reason or another i never blogged about it.

The dress is super cute and summery and was from the Project D line at Simply Be because its been so long since i took theses pics the dress is now out of stock but if you check ebay you might have some luck. As you can see from the pictures i have brown hair which i haven't had for a while as you know!

I decided to wear this with my Beth Ditto cardigan and Irregular Choice scotty dog shoes. This dress is so pretty and lovely for the summer seeing these pictures I'm wondering if i can dig it out from my wardrobe and winter it up.

Finding these pictures from the summer is making me want the sun to come back out so i can wear all my summer dresses and tiny shorts, i think its going to be awhile before that happens!

Lovely Luna

The next piece I'm reviewing from Taking Shape is the Luna Petti Dress, now this dress is designed to be worn under  dresses as a slip and to add some volume at the bottom ( i just thought it looked cute and didn't realise this till i read the description!) . But as you all know I don't like to wear everything as originally intended so I am going to be wearing this as a dress on it's own.

You could wear this as a slip it's very comfortable and the silky material means it wouldn't bunch your dresses up or you could wear it as a dress like me and break all the rules !

Again i was sent this in a XL which is an equivalent to a 22 and the fit is great however for a more fitted style you might want to size down, the material is very stretchy so i think i could fit well beyond the size 26 it goes to.

I like the dress just loose but i decided to style it up with a belt, now I'm not a huge belt fan to be honest but i think this dress does benefit from a belt if you intend to wear it a dress like me rather than a slip.

Some of you eagle eyed people might have spotted this belt and recognised it as the Beth Ditto belt from the Evans range several years ago. I love the sparkles and cameos on the belt and i thought it went perfectly with the dress.

I love the frilly mesh hemline and think if your wearing it as a sip it could add some nice volume to the dress your wearing over it, or if your wearing it like me it just adds a bit of fun to the dress. As much as i like a little black dress i do like it to have a little something extra just to make it stand out a little and this dress does that for me.

I really love this dress and i think it goes to show that if you like something then wear it don't worry about what it was initially intended to be worn as and let your style shine through. I really love everything that i was sent from Taking Shape and the website has so much to offer from little black dresses to coats and basics and much much more! A Bit Of Beth

Like a lot of you i loved the Beth Ditto ranges for Evans they were great and i still love to wear the pieces that i got. I didn't buy them all at the time they came out so now i stalk eBay for pieces in my size and have come away with a few bargains!
This dress is one of them, i love it so much!

I won this dress for around £10 which is great, i got a size 24 and its a little big but not too noticeable and i like the extra room that i have in it.

The dress has an exposed zip to the back and great draping to the front so it fits like a dream and gives me a great shape. It even has pockets too which i love. I did buy this dress when it first came out but it ripped and i knew i had to have it again, I'm on the look out for the velvet version which I've never owed but would love too!

This dress really is perfect its great for the summer to wear on it's own or to layer up with thick tights and a faux fur in the winter. I think the Beth Ditto range has stood the test of time as there are so many pieces that i still want to own and the ones i do always get great compliments on.

Falling like Dominos

I have been stalking eBay like a woman possessed recently in search of the Beth Ditto domino dress from her collection a few years ago with Evans. I hadn't been able to find the right size,when i did the bids were so high i couldn't afford them or like a complete idiot i forgot that a listing was ending.
The lovely Rebecca came to my rescue and asked if i wanted to buy her dress that she had just won from eBay but didn't fit right, i didn't have to be asked twice and said yes straight away!

Ever since i saw Lolly in her domino dress i knew i needed it in my life she looked absolutely amazing! So another big thank you to Rebecca for thinking of me before selling the dress to someone else :)

This dress is just perfect i love it so much ! There are no labels at all in the dress so i can't say what size it is but it seems to come up small from the reviews i've read so if you do spot one on eBay i think it may be best to size up.

The dress is made from a jersey material with a stitched in lining which i think helps it to sit right. I could talk about this dress all day the sleeves, the length, the print its just amazing!

I wore this dress to Lolly's birthday lunch and it was really comfy to wear and make me feel great.

The tights are from Primark ages ago as was the headscarf and i added a handmade brooch. The Little Mermaid is my favourite disney film and Ursula is one of my favourite characters so i made her into a brooch.

Do you obsess over an item until you own it ?

Lace and Love

This is an outfit i wore last week for my hubby's birthday. I think this dress has a birthday feel about and decided it needed another outing. I have already blogged about the dress before here i really love it.
So onto the outfit

The dress is from Simply Be and is available here should you want to get your hands on it for new years. As i said in the previous post it's a great dress and very comfortable just a little on the short side for me, but this time i wore it with flats (not seen) and weirdly it didn't seems as short.

The cardigan is an old one its from the Beth Ditto range at Evans and is a size 22/24 i really love this cardigan but for some reason it doesn't get the wear that it should. I really loved the Beth Ditto range as I'm sure many of you did too, i can't remember how much i paid for this as it was a while ago but if you are after one then it does sometimes pop up on eBay.

As it was the hubby's birthday we went for something to eat at TGI fridays but as usual i didn't get any pictures i was too busy tucking in! Its was quite chilly in the restaurant but the cardigan kept me pretty warm. I did try to get a close up of the dress and cardigan but for some reason in the pictures the dress looks burgundy but its really a lovely purple so i didn't include that.

Thankfully I'm now off work till January do you have any plans for your time off or are you unlucky and have to work?

Day 8- something you forgot you have but love

This would be my Beth Ditto Peter pan dress. I was reading through blogs the other day and when I got to Naomi's blog diamond n pearls I saw she was wearing the Beth ditto peter pan dress. She looked absolutely amazing, take a look for yourself. It reminded me that I had this too and even through I love it I'd forgotten all about it and not worn it in ages. This dress is actually an 18 and although it's a little small over the bust it fits well, so if your looking for it and one comes up in a smaller size than you are give it a go. The dress itself is beautiful, a really nice material with a underneath dress so it's not see through. Now I've rediscovered this dress I'm going to wear it more often.
I wore the dress with tights from evans and some plain primark flats. I took one of my first ever irregular choice bags, I call him dog bag as he sort of looks like one,I love the fabric he's made from it has robots on!
I wasn't going to put the last picture in as I'm moving about being silly but I kinda like it so it's stayed.
