Cats Eyes

I was contacted recently by Firmoo the online glasses company who asked if i would like to review a pair of glasses. I'm always on the look out for new glasses and having worked with Firmoo before i said yes and picked out a beautiful pair of glasses to try.

I decided to go for these beauties as i was instantly drawn to them while browsing the site. I love the shape on the glasses and the frames are almost wooden in effect which looks even better in real life.
I have been sent a pair of glasses by Firmoo before but i have also bought some myself as i find them really great value and although they are shipped from abroad they arrive in no time!

These glasses also came in the cutest glasses case, i love how it looks like an old map. I think it might become my go to case.

I wore these glasses to work and they were really comfy over my ears but i hadn't checked the bridge distance so these did rub on my nose over the day. That isn't the fault of the glasses it was me not checking the measurements. But i really love how these glasses look so i will be wearing them again just over a shorter period.

I can't recommend Firmoo enough the glasses are really good quality and they have a great price range too. They do put measurements on all the frames so you can check they will fit you and you can even upload your own picture so you can see how the frames will look on you which is great to help you decide.

If you are on the look out for some new specs then head over to Firmoo and find your perfect pair.

Stylish Specs

As I'm sure you all know by now i have to wear glasses everyday so i do like to try different style and have pairs that make me stand out, I'm never one to blend into the background! I was offered the chance to try some glasses by SpecsPost and had a hard time narrowing it down to the pair i wanted to try.
They have a great range of glasses of all prices. styles and shapes. I finally decided on this pair, the frames are a little different to the ones i usually wear and i loved the little flash of pink on the inside of the glasses.

I love these frames so much they look really cute on and I'm glad i went for something a little different to my usual  style.

The glasses were really comfy to wear and fit my face well, the website does give you measurements for the glasses so you can compare them to your current ones and find the perfect par for you. You can even get your old glasses re-glazed from £20.

I wore my glasses with my new Simply Be playsuit and i think they go perfectly. I'd definitely recommend SpecsPost for glasses the service was great and they arrived really quickly, I'll be heading here to look for new frames in the future!

I now have my eye on some sunglasses i love these so much and you can't go wrong at £21.99 for prescription sunnies!
Have you used SpecsPost before ?

Spots and Dots

I was contacted recently and was offered the chance to review something from Vision Direct. I decided to go with this glasses case which you can also get in red and black.
I have been buying a few pairs of glasses recently that haven't come with a hard case so this review couldn't have come at a better time!

The case is a nice bright white and made from a soft smooth material, i have tried all my different glasses in it and it fits them all with space.
The inside is a cream colour and made from a soft felt like material so you don't need to worry about it scratching your lenses. The case snaps shut and it easily and is secure once its shut so your glasses won't fall out.

You can get this case from the website for £4.07 and you get free delivery too. I'd definitely recommend this case and plan on getting more in the different colours for my other glasses. Everyone needs a funky case to go with their glasses.
If you don't wear glasses but contact lenses then don't worry they have lots of those to choose from plus some really cute contact lens cases.
These are my favourites
Hippo shaped case for £3.05 get them here. How cute is it?!

Item sent for review but all opinions are my own.

I got an email on Friday to let me know that they had been dispatched and on Tuesday morning there was a knock at the door and they were here, that's super quick delivery if you ask me! I usually go to the opticians to get glasses and have only once before ordered online with another glasses company where i had a really bad experience. I'm happy to say that my experience with Firmoo was a very good one, the website was very easy to use and the form i got to fill in my prescription details was easy to follow.
The glasses came with a hard and soft case, cleaning cloth and spare screws and a screwdriver.

I really love these glasses they are so light it doesn't even feel like you have them on. They are a little different to my usual style but i really like how they look. The website allows you to try the glasses on if you upload a picture so you get an idea of what they would look like on.

Chain reaction

Today was the longest day at work ever but i came home to every girls dream,  a one off piece made just for me. For this i have to thank Chloe from lifes big canvas she makes the most amazing hand made jewellery. If you haven't heard of her or seen any of her pieces then take a look, i guarantee you will find something that you like. So back to my amazing parcel that was waiting for me when i got home. When i went to plus north last weekend a lot of people asked about my glasses chain including Chloe herself and after chatting to her i suggested maybe she add glasses chains to her store. As you know i bought a necklace and brooch from her stall at plus north so i knew if she did decide to make them they would be amazing. I suggested a few styles that i would like to see and Chloe very kindly offered to make me a chain to test. Here is the finished result,
The chain came in a cute little bag

The chain on my glasses

Me wearing it
Please excuse my crazy hair I've been at work and had just put my lounging dress on before opening my post.
The chain itself is plenty long enough to hold the glasses at chest height when you have them off and can be easily taken on and off. You attach the chain via the clear plastic loops you can see in the second picture. I love cats so this glasses chain couldn't be more me! I can see that i will get a lot of wear out of this and i will defiantly be buying more. Chloe only makes a few of each piece so no matter what you buy you know that your getting something that your not going to see on everyone. I like to be individual so this really is a plus point for me.
The glasses chains will range from £7-£12 depending on the design which is a great price, they would make a great stocking filler or just as a little gift for someone special.
So you can go to Chloe's website lifes big canvas to buy her lovely jewellery or if you want a glasses chain they are not on her store yet so contact her via twitter @peskychloe
So all in all i really cannot fault this glasses chain it gets the thumbs up from me !

I hope your all having a great weekend, have you got any plans?
Thank you for reading

Out and about with the birdies

On sunday me and the hubby met up with lolly likes fatshion and her mr for a ponder around the shops and something to eat. We went into primark first where my hubby bought himself a dinosaur onsie and me 3 pairs of reading glasses that i plan on having the lenses changed in so they are my prescription. I love them I'm so glad that i found out about a cheap place to get the lenses changed from the lovely lolly.
Here are the glasses all from primark

We also had a look in evans who had got a huge sale on at the minute and my gorgeous hubby bought me a dress. It was less than half price at £30! i love it and can't wait to wear it.
Isn't it beautiful?!

We went to rice for dinner and although the food was nice the service wasn't and we had to wait nearly and hour for what they call "fast" food but the company was great so it could have been worse.
Heres what i wore
I did attempt to take pictures outside
but it was too windy !

close up on the print
The dress is from evans i got it in the 15% off for the jubilee. I bought a size 24 as i usually find it help to size up in sienna couture. The dress isn't on the evans website at the minute but it was still in store when we went in. I paid £33 for it as i got the discount but it was £39 full price. The material is really soft and silky and there is a stretch panel in the back so i could have probably got my usual size.
The shoes are from primark an the headscarf is from matalan.
Ive had a great weekend i hope you all have too.
XOXO
