Queen Of Hearts

As you might have seen in my last post i picked up a few bits from Asda recently and i wanted to share this amazing shirt with you.

P6295879

This shirt was from the G21 section which unfortunately only goes up to a 20. I seriously wish Asda would make this range in a larger size range as it's usually got some amazing pieces in it.  The shirts really over sized so i managed to fit into the 20 with room to spare. I can fasten it all the way to the top with no gaping which is great.

P6295876

The shirt is £14 although i got mine a little cheaper as one of the button holes was sewn shut so they knocked me 10% off. The shirt also came with a cute heart necklace which i love and i think it looks perfect with the shirt but I'm sure it'll get worn on its own too.

P6295874

The shorts are the same ones from the previous post, i lifted the shirt up so you could get a better look. They don't have any stretch to them but they feel true to size for me and are really soft too.

P6295870

If I'd have seen this shirt online i would never have ordered it because even though it says over sized i wouldn't have though the size 20 would have fit without gaping so I'm really pleased that it was in store.

A Trip To The Supermarket

Supermarkets can be a great place to find some bargain pieces for your wardrobe so on my day off i decided to pop to the local Asda and have a good trying on session. I find my local Asda can be a bit hit and miss when it comes to larger sizes but its always worth a look.
I took quite a few pieces into the changing room and left with three so i didn't do too bad. Here are a few of the bits i tried on.

I did try some other stuff on too but i didn't get pictures of it all as my battery was dying. From these items i got the shorts and the vest from the first photo. I thought i would show you how they look in better light with a proper camera rather than my phone.

P6295887

The shorts are a size 22 and were £8 which i thought was pretty good value and the vest was £6 so not overly priced at all. The vest is super comfy and soft and the 22 fit with quite a bit of room so it could easily fit a size 24 maybe bigger if you didn't mind a tighter fit.

P6295882

I also picked up a lovely over sized shirt which I'll be posting soon and this cute mouse face bag £8. I'm a bit of a sucker for bags that are animals faces, i was pulled in by a dog backpack too but i managed to resist.

Have you had any supermarket bargains recently ?

Queen of Hearts

I was contacted recently and asked if I wanted to review something from Tesco. I have had several pieces from them over the years including that amazing leopard jacket I never seem to have off my back! I said yes and was sent this dress in a 22, I can fit into the main range at Tesco as a 22 but for anyone larger they do have the True collection which I have bought from before too.

P2235473

I decided to keep it casual and paired this cute little dress with my converse. The dress is made of stretch jersey and the size 22 is perfect for me but maybe a little short for some of you.

P2235470

The print really sold it to me and I thought it would be the most perfect summer day dress. You can get your hands on it here for a bargain price of £5 in the sale!

P2235474

Here are a few other pieces that caught my eye on the Tesco site.
I love this shirt and i think the zip details makes it a little different from the ones i already own.

How fab is the print on this skirt?!

I think this may be a love it or hate it item but i love it!

There is so much more on the site but those were just a few of my favourites who knows maybe some of them might slip into my basket the next time I'm in store.

Plus North Part 1

So I decided to split this into 3 post so that I don't end up rambling on like my mother, she's ace but boy can she talk ! :)

Last Saturday it was finally time for Plus North and I was so excited. Last years was so much fun but this years was massive, even bigger and better than before. I would like to say a big thanks to the Plus North team for making it such a great day, they worked so hard and deserve a massive pat on the back. Becky and Toni made it such a great day and even though they were so busy they always had a smile on their faces and time to say hello.
Picture from Becky's Blog

I thought I'd start part one with my Friday night. Some of the others going to plus north had booked into their hotels on the Friday, but I hadn't so Lisa came over and we had takeout and I stripped then bleached her hair, then my hubby dyed it pink. I think I did a pretty good job to say I've never dyed hair before!

On Saturday we set off for Plus North and I decided to go for a comfy casual outfit for the day. This dress was from new look and was only £14.99!

It's a stretch material and the 22 is the perfect fit for me. The dress is quite short but I'm only 5 4" so it's long enough for me to wear without tights or leggings. I also decided to take my snugly cardigan which is a large from Primark and would probably fit up to a 26 it's very generous! Not too mention perfect for to colder weather as it keeps you real warm.
I actually only ended up wearing this dress for the journey up and a an hour or so at the event but it was still perfect for the car journey and it will be great for the colder weather with leggings and a faux fur.
Me and Lisa got to the hotel that Plus North was being held at just before 11 so in we went to start a day full of fun! Part 2 coming soon !

I love a playsuit

As many of you know as well as dresses i do have a soft spot for playsuits and i do own quite a few, if i see one at a bargain price i have to have it !
I got this from Very along with my floral leggings and pretty dress during their sale. I got it for a bargain price of £11.50 which is a great and it came with a belt too.
I wore this to go to do the food shop and have dinner with my hubby and i must say its really comfortable.
Not sure why but i look super miserable in these pictures!

P1013436

I ordered the playsuit in a 24 and I'm so glad i did as it just fastens over the boobs. I wore it with the top 2 buttons undone and a cami underneath just in case as i didn't want to be flashing over dinner.
This playsuit unbuttons but only to above the waist and it doesn't have any zips so its really quite difficult to get in and out of, but once its on its really comfy. The playsuit is no longer available on the website, but if it does come back into stock id definitely recommend sizing up if you can.

P1013440

The print is really pretty, the material is really lightweight and soft so good for the summer too and it also has pockets which is always a bonus.
Are you loving playsuits too?

I heart playsuits

As you all know i love playsuits i can't get enough of them. I have always bought them from asos and didn't think i was going to find many cute printed plus size ones elsewhere but then i spotted this beauty on Simply Be and i fell in love. It was £40 at the time and other things always seemed to jump in my basket before this, then a few weeks ago me and the mr went to doncaster to the Simply Be store and there it was in a size 22 at £16!! I tried it on, it fitted and we made our way to the till.
The playsuit is still in stock on simply be and reduced to £16 now too, its here if you fancy a bargain. The playsuits on simply be are all gorgeous and i have my eye on a few others I'm so glad they do them as not many plus size stores seem to sell playsuits which is a shame they are the perfect addition to any wardrobe.

I wore the playsuit with black tights and my lifes big canvas necklace and glasses chain. It was super comfy and lightweight. The shorts are like culottes so have plenty of room and don't ride up too far when you sit down. The playsuit has buttons all the way down the front so its easy to get on and off, you don't have to do the sideways bend and shuffle that some playsuits require! the buttons are fastened with an elastic loop rather than a traditional button fastening and i really like this. It also has a belt at the back so you can tie it to get a more defined shape.

The mr says i look mischievous here

I really like this playsuit and wearing it makes me want more, here are some of the playsuits on Simply Be that i need in my wardrobe.
Printed playsuit £40

Aztec print £26

Bird print £35

How do you feel about playsuits are you a lover like me ?

One dress Two ways

A few weeks ago now myself and lolly likes fatshion both bought the same dress from asda. It wasn't intentional i tweeted about what i bought then saw that she had bought the same dress too, it just goes to show great minds do think alike! So we decided to show you how we each styled it, check hers out over on her blog.
I wore mine last night out to dinner for a friends birthday we went to chiquitos it was really yummy. It was raining so although the dress is a summer dress i layered it up and was warm enough.
The dress was £12 from asda and i got my usual size 22. The material is a light cotton so perfect to wear on its own in the summer. It also has buttons on the back where the straps attach and two button holes in the strap itself so that you can have a shorter or longer strap which i think is a great idea.

The cardigan is G21 from asda size 20 i got it last year i think. Tights are primark and i don't have them on it the picture but i wore navy ballet flats from primark £5.
The headscarf was from a pack of two from primark £2

The bag i have had since i was 14 and was from H&M i love it and i thought the red went well with the red hearts on the dress.
Close up of the print

The buttons on the strap
So thats how i wore mine i hope you like it now pop over and see how lolly styled her dress.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
XOXO
