Plus Size Outfit Day- Wedding Bells

So this months theme is wedding bells and myself and other ladies will be showing you our wedding outfits either as a guest or the person getting married.

As you might know i have been married for over two years now so i will show you some pictures from my wedding and what i wore and then a few ootd which i think would work as an outfit for a wedding.

First up is my wedding pictures, we got married on the 13th of December and i was a little chilly but it didn't rain or snow which was good!

My dress wasn't traditional at all i bought it from Vivien of Holloway, the shoes were the first pair my hubby bought me along with the clutch to match, the faux fur stole was one i picked up just before the wedding.

I did my hair and make up myself and left it really simple as i didn't want anything to over the top. I had a great day and felt amazing in my dress. I would re create an ootd with it but its too small now unfortunately but i do still have in my wardrobe.

No onto a few ootd' that i think could work well for a wedding 

I'd be happy to wear any of these to a wedding in fact i have worn the first one to a wedding and it looked great.

Plus Size Outfit Day

This months plus size outfit day is all about accessories, i have a few firm favourites when its comes to accessories they are brooches, shoes and lipstick!

As i knew this theme was coming up so I've been saving these gorgeous Irregular Choice to show you now. I bought them a few weeks ago after months of anticipation and i was so excited when they finally came.

I decided to mix colours so i wore the black polkadot dress which I've had a while with a cute pink butterfly brooch my mum bought me for xmas and the light blue and white polkadots from the shoes. The shoes are a size 6 i find that sometimes i need to size up with Irregular Choice and i think i did need to with these.

I decided to keep my face bare and didn't wear any make up i usually like to wear pretty bright lipstick but i didn't want to distract too much from the shoes. These shoes are so unique and cute and as soon as i opened them i fell in love.

I love how an outfit can look so different depending on what accessories you put with it and it doesn't even have to be something super expensive it can just be a little brooch to add a little something extra to an outfit.

Plus Size Outfit Day

It's that time again and the theme for this months plus size outfit day is 'all about polkadots'. It's no secret i love polkadots so i was excited about this months theme.

I had lots of options for this post but i decided to go with a recent eBay purchase, i got this dress for £13.99! 

The dress was brand new with tags on and for £13.99 its much less than i would have paid for it in the shop. The dress was from M&S and is a size 22, which is a perfect fit for me.

The dress is a lovely navy colour, i love navy but i don't have much of it in my wardrobe so this dress is a great addition. It's made from a thick stretch jersey and comes to my mid calf which i love. I wore this with thick black tights and pumps from Primark and my Asos pearl cat ears headband.

This is a really nice dress it will be great when the weather gets a bit warmer too. I did look on the M&S website but i can't find this dress but you could always try eBay and grab yourself a bargain like me.

Plus Size Outfit Day

This months Plus Size Outfit Day theme is 'an enchanting dating outfit". I decided to show you something that i would wear on a "date night" with my hubby.

This dress is one i bought when i went shopping to Doncaster back in January. 

The dress was from Simply Be i decided after trying on the 22 and the 24 that the 24 was a better fit for me. I really love how the maxi skirt bottom is sheer and gives a cheeky glimpse of whats underneath.

I paid full price for the dress which was £55 and it has now gone into the sale for £33 but has quickly sold out in most sizes.

This dress is really comfy and it looks great on, i really love how the top has a lovey 3d felt texture and that the mini skirt is covered with the lovely sheer maxi. I think the combination of the two is super cute!

I decided to keep the outfit fairly simple, i wore my Irregular Choice shoes which were the first pair my hubby ever bought me so i like to wear them for special occasions. I added Primark faux pearl earrings and a hair clip that I've had for a while.

Plus Size Outfit Day

Its that time of the month again and time for a new plus size outfit day, this moths theme is "your stylish work outfit".

I work in an office where we don't have a set uniform but have to wear business dress, which means smart wear, no jeans,sportswear, trainers etc. 

I don't usually buy work wear i tend to move my clothes around so once my dresses start to get a bit unloved and aren't being worn very often i move them to work wear so they can get the wear they deserve.

For this post I'm wearing a dress i got from the fat swap the other weekend. The dress was completely free all i did was take clothes i no longer wore or that no longer fit and swapped them for other ones. I really do love the swaps.

This dress is a size 24 and fits me great there is even a little extra room in the top. The top is stretchy then it joins the skirt part which has a black stretch under skirt then a lovely chiffon material over the top. The dress has a tie at the back to add a more defined waist. Unfortunately the tag in the dress was for a wholesalers so I'm not sure exactly where the dress came from but I'm glad i saw it at the swap as it's perfect for work.

I wore this with my Primark shoes and my Tesco cardigan as the office temperature can be a little changeable.

Plus Size Outfit Day

It's that time again and this months Plus Size Outfit Day theme is "your favourite outfits from 2012".
I was really excited when i saw the theme for this month and decided although i haven't been blogging for 12 months i would do my 12 favourite outfits.

So here they are my 12 favourite outfits from the past 12 months. I have linked back to the original posts in case you would like to have a nosey.

1. Leopard maxi dress - I think this is my favourite outfit, not just because i love how i look in it but it was really the start of my maxi dress addiction, i went from none to 8 since i first bought this one.

2. My wedding dress - i didn't go for a traditional dress as thats just not me, i found this online and fell in love, it was the perfect dress for my prefect day.

3. My 50's inspired look - i wore this to wore for the queens jubilee back in june, it was very warm in the thick felt skirt but i just loved this skirt so i had to wear it.

4.Fish! I love an print dress and if that print happens to be of an animal I'm even happier!

5.Plus North - i had such an amazing time at plus north so this outfit is in there because it brings back memories of a great day and meeting new people. I can't wait for the next one.

6.50's diner - i adore the print on this dress and the fact i got it at a bargain price makes me a happy lady.

7.More leopard print - i love this picture and i love this dress :)

8.Skunks in love - this dress is a great fit but my favourite part of the outfit is the kissing skunk brooch.

9.Yes it's another maxi - i told you i had an obsession! I can't wait to get this back out again in the summer, its perfect.

10.Clashing prints - my favourite clashing prints outfit, plus a cute poodle brooch.

11.Little black dress - i love how elegant and simple this dress is and how easy it can be dressed down.

12.Swanning about - a great simple and comfy dress, its a favourite in my wardrobe.

Plus size outfit day

The theme for this plus size outfit day is 'lets get ready for Saturday night' . I decided to go with an outfit that i would wear for a night on the tiles. This theme means i can show you a little bit about what i do to get ready for a night out.

So here's my routine...
I always start off with a nice relaxing bath and do my hair, most of the time i just blow dry as i did here but on the odd occasion if i have enough time i will straighten my hair too.
Then comes the hard bit, choosing what to wear

I always have a good look and most of the time i go with the print that stands out to me the most, which on this occasion was leopard print

Once I've decided on what to wear it's time to put my face on. I don't wear very much make up but i do tend to wear a bit more for a night out, here's what i used

MUA eyeshadow palette, false lash effect mascara 

That gal face primer (used on my cheeks) sleek lipstick,GOSH lip primer

Once thats done it's time to put on your party outfit, something that makes you feel amazing and that for me is this dress.

This dress is from Tesco and part of their limited edition range which i find is a little more expensive than the standard range but it still doesn't break the bank at £30. This dress is still available online here so if your after a dress that will hug you in all the right places and make you feel a million dollars head over there and buy it now!

This dress is a 22 and i like how it fits on me it feels like it was made just for me. The material has some stretch with a inner layer to smooth the dress out, i found because of this i didn't have any lines from where my tights sat, sometimes with fitted dress i find you can see where your tights come up to. If you have a fear of the VBO (visible belly outline) this might not be for you as it is fitted. I suppose you could wear control pants underneath if this was an issue for you, but it's not for me so you can see how the dress sits without any shape wear. 

I really love this dress and for £30 you can't go wrong, yet another 10/10 for Tesco from me. Keep up the good work guys :)

After i get dressed i would usually choose my shoes which i have set out on a shelf with the pictures on the outside of the box which makes finding the perfect shoe so much easier.

Now I'm ready to party but i have to add one final piece to my outfit…

No outfit is complete without a set of cat ears and a cheeky poke out of the tongue.
